I visit Taylor, Michigan, quite often, and when I do, I usually stay at the Comfort Inn Suites located at 6778 Telegraph Rd. I think the rooms are very nice. They're clean, which I like. Best is the bed. The bed is absolutely amazing, and the room is not really big, but that's fine. It's always nice to have white, clean towels. I will be back keep up The good work. read more

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. After already staying here for a week due to our bathroom being remodeled, we extended one more night--and that's when everything went downhill. While feeding my 2-month-old baby, I was BIT by a bed bug. I didn't just assume--I physically picked it up and showed my boyfriend. When staff came in, they had the nerve to call it an ant, which was insulting because it was very clearly a bed bug. Then they admitted they had a bed bug issue about a year ago, yet still tried to deny what was right in front of them. The way this was handled was completely unacceptable. Instead of taking accountability, they brushed it off and refused to fully refund us--only giving back one night. As a mother with a newborn, this is beyond disturbing. This place is unsanitary, dishonest, and clearly does not take guest safety seriously. I would never stay here again and would strongly warn others to avoid it. read more

The hotel has really went downhill since our last stay. The staff is still very friendly. The breakfast use to consist of pastries, cereal and fresh milk or cream for the coffee, but now, it was no pastries, no non dairy creamer or milk, only the packets of cream. Housekeeping only took out the trash and brought us fresh towels, they did not make the bed or vacuum. It was also a lot of sketchy looking people in and around the hotel. Our group stayed here a couple times and both times we have encountered dirty areas in our rooms. Concerns with pet smells, dirty sheets, bedding, flooring, bathroom and more. Have added some photos to show examples After our last trip needed to post a review about the cleanliness. Its older and that is fine, the photos they show are not the rooms you get. The rooms need a real cleaning and do not look like photos from stock or many years ago. The breakfast has tiny muffins instead of Danish most suites offer They offer a small selection of foods. Hope that others will comment so they will clean the place up shampoo the carpeting and furniture and wipe things down buy some new sheets and add to the breakfast. The Comfort Inn in Taylor is located on a busy road, with east highway access to the airport and downtown Detroit. We arrived and check-in was reasonably smooth, and our room was clean and comfortable, though not particularly luxurious. I went to the front desk to ask for some extra towels and no one was there. No one showed up even after 10 minutes of waiting. Not a good look for a full service hotel. Comfort Inn provides breakfast, but it's "grab and go" "due to COVID." The next morning I went for breakfast and there was nothing laid out. The breakfast doggie bags were behind the front desk and there was no receptionist staffing the desk. After a 15 minute wait, someone showed up and handed me the bag. When I got to the room... the bag contained a single granola bar and a frozen egg and cheese breakfast taco. Huh? read more

I stayed here on Feb 1, 2021 for a business trip. I don't know if covid really effected the hotel professional or just plain unprofessional, unpleasant stay. After arriving late at night at the airport, I contacted the hotel to advise and confirm my coming for check-in. The front desk person tone of voice was not welcoming at all! As if she's having a hard day! I can sense it's gonna be a rough stay. Than arriving minutes later, front desk was empty so I waited for someone to arrive to check me in ( I don't recall Comfort-In being this ghetto ). My room didn't have any towel, when ask for towel. Front desk said ( you need to come to front desk and get it! ) what happen to ( they bring to your room like the other reviews posted! ) hotel soap bottle is half empty ( which mean we share soup with other guess?! ) My bed sheet and pillows smell like pass guess! Breakfast come in a brown paper bag consist off 1 frozen egg McMuffin and 1 fruit and grain bar. ( I'll give this part a pass due to convid right now, but 1 McMuffin?! Lol ) hotel is very noisy. You will find that wall is very thin where you can hear your neighbors conversation and tv and if that is not irritating enough you'll hear your ac running on and off every 4 minutes on auto. So to sum this up. If I come back in this city for in the future business, I'll spend the money for a better starts and reviews. read more

Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no carpet. I have asthma and am allergic to everything. It was a relief to know I would not have to worry about what was in the carpet. The staff was very helpful, friendly & courteous. Went to the ford museum and visited easel's house. Hope to go to the car show next year. Will consider comfort inn again because it's not too far from where we are going and we had such a nice stay- the breakfast was fast, delicious and just what we needed to get the day started. Not sure what's up with the negative reviews. I grew up in the area and stay here everytime I come back for a visit. My rooms have been clean, the free breakfast is good, and the service is great. We ran out of towels once. The desk person brought them up in about 2 minutes. This is the only place I'd stay when visiting Taylor. read more

We stayed here after a Red Wings game. I specifically chose it because they have a jacuzzi suite (their most expensive room). My husband and I wanted a whirlpool tub to relax as we've both been training at the gym. I was very disappointed because our tub's high pressure jet button was broken so we couldn't get the "massage" effect. Also, the drain leaked so we had to refill the tub every 10 minutes or so. To top it off, the phone beside the bed didn't work. The breakfast was decent, except when the cook brought out more biscuits, she told us to make sure to microwave them because she "wasn't required to serve them warm." Indeed they were very cold. When I told them about the issues the next day, they did offer us a $35 discount...off our NEXT stay! We won't be returning for our discount. read more

Stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. The hotel was under renovation and extremely noisy early sunday morning. If their website would have said it was under renovation i would have stayed somewhere else. Our door security bar kept sticking so it was hard to get the door to where we could open it. The wall was half painted by the door. The air conditioning knob didnt work well. It came off in my hand so had to unplug it from the wall. The tub jets werent clean and had sludge in them. Toilet paper is behind you. Didnt have a hairdryer. Counter in bathroom with broken and sharp. And thats just some of the issues we had.... pay more and go elsewhere read more

We stayed here over night. They have sign posted to please understand they are in the middle of renovating. We were given a ground floor room . It was marginally clean to my standards which are high as it is my profession. It was dusty in places and there was a weird greasy square around the peep hole in the door, which someone stuffed paper into. There was gunk in the hinges of the toilet seat. The toilet handle broke the first attempt to use it; so the rest of the time we had to use the bathroom off the lobby which was a hassle but it worked. Their breakfast was decent enough. The potatoes and sausage gravy were very good. The eggs bland. It was crowded and there were not enough tables and chairs to accommodate, So we had to take our breakfast and coffee back to our room. The TV was huge. The decor nice. And the staff were friendly to us. I would stay here again. I think reading the bad reviews, made this place better. We were prepared for a terrible experience mentally. But ultimately it was better than camping. read more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Taylor July 7-9 during our family summer vacation. When we returned to our room after being out all day on Sunday we found that my and my daughter's tablets had been taken from our room. I noticed as soon as we entered the room that the nightstand drawer was wide open, and that was where I had left my (Amazon Kindle) tablet. Now I do not know if the housekeeper had taken the tablets or s/he had left the door open and someone stepped inside and swiped them. As soon as I discovered this, I alerted the lady at the front desk. She was apologetic and showed concern. Of course, being Sunday evening, the manager was out. I would have to speak to him the next morning. The next morning when I spoke to Joe the manager I was told they would conduct an investigation and get back to me in a few days. At no time did he apologize or show any sympathy. I had a feeling he was blowing me off. After a week and not hearing anything, I called the hotel for a follow up. I was told Joe was not around but they were still investigating and would get back to me. So I gave them another week. After still hearing nothing, I called a week later. I was told, again, that Joe was unavailable. However after their "investigation", they found no "proof" that my items were taken. I was also told that they found it "odd" that the details of my story had changed several times. I didn't expect to be compensated for my stolen items. However, I did expect to be treated with sympathy and concerned. I expected management to do something-anything- to make a paying customer feel like management cared about the situation. They didn't even have the courtesy to return my phone calls. I will never stay at this Comfort Inn again and advise anyone else not too either. I am extremely disappointed and expected more from a Comfort Inn- my favorite and preferred hotel brand. read more

Merry Christmas. NOT at this hotel. Check in Dec 20th and was going to check out Dec 27th. We booked this hotel based on them having a indoor pool and we called the hotel before booking the room to make sure we could bring our grandchildren to go swimming that we are visiting for Xmas, we are from out of state. We then were informed at the hotel only hotel guess are allowed to use the pool. So those plans were ruined. Then we had our 11 year old grandson stay with us for one night and they won't let him in the room then decided to charge us for a roll away bed that we didn't need for him to stay. We told then we will be checking out in the morning and going somewhere else. They didn't care. Will never stay at a comfort Inn property again. They lost over 250.00 and a customer over letting a few little kids use the pool with their grandparents for Xmas read more

The maid stole codeine from my daughter who has a broken arm. The GM said she can't do anything because it wasn't caught on video. Who the heck steals from a child!!! Don't stay here, if you have a problem no one will give a crap!!!! Rude staff. I am marking this as ultra expensive because getting my personal property stolen cost ME more money. There are plenty of other choices in the area when we stay here and I won't be choosing this one again, or any Choice Hotel for that matter. They claim to be pet friendly, but won't allow cats because "too many people are allergic to them" - what does that say about their cleaning procedures? - nor will they take dogs larger than 15 pounds. Fifteen pounds?? How are these policies pet friendly? I wish I could review further, but we left as soon as they shared their pet rules. read more

Absolutely horrible! I took my family there for a last minute mini vacation to swim. (As I told the front lady). We checked in, got our swim suits on & went to the pool. The pool room was cold & the water was freezing. I told the front lady and she told me to give her a little bit, she would get ahold of maintaince. So we waited. I went back to the front desk and was told the maintenance couldn't do anything. So I told her we would be checking out. We went up stairs and change and got our stuff. I wasn't given a full refund because we were there over 30 minutes. Plus there wasn't a manager to handle the situation correctly. I have to wait til tomorrow to call and speak to a manager. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review, but there were too many problems with the room, I feel I need to state the situations. We stayed in room 226, when we first walked in the room we saw two of our clean towels on the floor. Then when we went in the bathroom, there was a paper strip from a women's pad behind the door. The floor had many stains and both chairs did too. We opened the refrigerator and it was dirty with old food in it. The T.V. would not work. When we went to go to bed and pull back the covers, one side was very wrinkled and the other was not. I looked at both beds and I feel that bed was never changed. At 3:00 in the morning the alarm clock started to buzz. It was not the alarm and the only way to stop it was to unplug it. The rug going down the stairs was very dirty. Stayed here once for a car show for my car group, I reserved late and couldn't get into the hotel my group was at. It used to be a quality inn, they just rebranded it. It's not corporate ran, it's independently ran. It's honestly not that great of a place although the pictures would suggest other wise. The linen was so stiff I could feel it cracking under me at night, my pillow smelled like someone with bad breath had used it last and the cover wasn't changed. The pool wasn't open when I was there even though it's indoors which is why I booked here in the first place. The parking lot is a mix of semis and other travelers/druggie locals, I spent a lot of the night making sure no one was messing w our recce car because I saw a few locals on bikes riding circles around it Overall, not happy or impressed. When I brought up my concerns w the front desk it seemed I was more of a hindrance then a guest. Won't stay again and made sure our group president knows to avoid it next year. read more

Disappointing stay. First, they charge a "deposit" of $50 in addition to the rate. Yes, you receive it back after your stay, but most hotels will trust you and if needed bill your credit card for any damage. We paid cash and received it back after check out, but it was strange. Second, they said that the hotel has recently been remodeled. The bathroom was small and fixtures old. The toilet did not appear clean. I wish I had taken a photo of it. The breakfast was so-so. Waffles, yogurt, eggs, pastries, cereal, sausage. They did not have the milk on ice or refrigerated. The hotel was quiet, has a pool and work-out room. The staff were friendly. We discovered a $2.00 fee for "safe rental" after checking out. We did not use the safe and when I called they removed the extra fee, but they said we needed to ask for removal upon check-in. All in all, this was not the quality or experience we have had at other Comfort Inn's. read more
