I was in the hospital so I did miss an important appointment and subsequently I was told that my case was dismissed by the judge. Being hospitalized was out of my control. I received less than $3000 and wasn't even paid for time lost. In addition my workplace is now saying I quit which is not even close to true. I was told by HR to provide a letter from my Dr. saying I could come back to work without restrictions so I was in the process of doing that. Most recently I was told by my work that they can't speak to me and that I needed to call coporate headquarters. When I asked Dan's paralegal she said I signed and had something noterized saying I quit. The only document I had noterized was to get the lousy settlement. I am not an attorney and spent months sending paperwork to Dan's office, which was a complete waste of time. Some of this does fall on my company and while it is legal for them to fire me it's highly unethical. Slipping paperwork saying I quit was extremely unethical on Dan and his paralegals part. What a joke and waste of my time and energy this was.
