The management is very friendly and is always helpful. The apartments and grounds are very clean and well maintained. We always felt safe here as well. We worked at Ft. Rucker and it was only 15 minute drive to work. Make sure you schedule an appointment with the management because they are usually pretty busy. It's pretty difficult to get ahold of them on the phone so consider email or leaving a voicemail.

I have been living at Highland Hills for almost 6 months and I absolutely hate it here. It is…read moregorgeous, aesthetic wise, but management is horrible. Hollye who works in the front office is horrible. Horrible attitude and extremely disrespectful. I will ask a question and she will be snarky. I can write a whole post about her, but let's move on. It's kind of a hit or miss with the neighbors. We landed on the third floor of phase 2, and the neighbors underneath us complain that my dog (who is on the lease) plays too much. Like, running around. He doesn't even bark... he is practically mute. It's so ridiculous that they have called the cops on us for my dog running to grab a toy and coming right back to me. Hopefully you will have better experience than I did. (The courtesy officer didn't even bother to hear what we had to say) Also, maintenance sucks. Our washer was broken for the first month of being here so we had to put in a million service requests in order to be able to wash our clothes. The maintenance guys bang on the door like they are about to kill us (literally, that loud). And if you're in the midst of getting out of the shower and trying to find some clothes to throw on, which takes a bit, you can usually here them throwing a fit outside of the door. Oh yeah, they never give you a heads up that they are on the way. Sometimes they will walk right in. They've also gossiped about my living standards to the front office. A couple of friends of mine brought their cats over for a play date with my dog (pretty weird... i know), and when we left for lunch, they came in my apartment unannounced and told the property manager that there were unauthorized pets at my space that were getting "in their way". would've been nice to have a heads up so i knew ahead of time... the property manager also did not disclose to the tenants that there was a moratorium in place for alabama during COVID, and that rent could be paid later when the economy had opened up. my fiancé and I scavenged for money after being laid off to pay for rent on time, and after the moratorium ended, we ran out of funds. we just got new jobs at the time and we told the property manager and she basically disclosed to us that we had a week to gather $900 or else we had to get out. they truly are not understanding about anything. I would like to wrap up this long, but very necessary post by saying this: there are places here in dothan that are better, cheaper, and well-managed. don't make the mistake i did and sign the lease once i got approved. explore your options! good luck!

I have only just arrived, and am already very pleased with tarragon apartments. the customer…read moreservice at the front desk was wonderful, and the lady was very sweet. The apartments are exactly what you would expect at a corporate apartment, and are very simply furnished. The rooms are very clean and the area seems to be nice and peaceful. This is, however, because it is only 76 dollars a night for a fully furnished 2 bed/2 bath! It was only a few more dollars a day for a 3 bedroom, so I am imagining one isn't too much less... I suggest you get the biggest they have available, as the price doesn't seem to change much. The buildings seem to be very well spread out, and each apartment has it's own balcony/patio. There are the usual amenities, such as a pool, gym, BBQ pits and ample parking. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and it is not far to the highways. You can book apartments through them directly, but corporate rooms are booked through preferred corporate housing.

Of the three buildings and apartments I lived in, building F was the best because a fire destroyed the original building and they rebuilt the unit, making it the newest building in the complex. The other two buildings I have lived in are really showing their age and need to be remodeled and updated. The maintenance has gotten better recently, although the painting, carpet and vinyl tile floors can look pretty sketchy at best. For the money they charge here, $685 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath upstairs apartment, you could probably do better. The walls and floors transfer a good bit of noise from your neighbors and sometimes finding a parking space can be an issue. There are some really low rent apartments right next door with a lot of foot traffic going right by. Another issue is the school district. If you don' have a issue with majority black schools, then disregard. Otherwise the location is pretty convenient.

Any good reviews you see on this place come from employees so that should say something. They have…read moreraised the rent 3 times in the years that I've been here and done nothing to improve the apartments themselves, but yet the office got a great upgrade and today they moved the sign to make it look more presentable lol... Roaches are over taking the place, they have NO pest control now. I know of 3 residents that have gone without common necessities for a week or long, like a fridge and AC... Its Alabama its HOT... They charge more and do less and the only thing you hear when you call to report a problem is their favorite line "I'll put in a work order." How about you just actually FIX things. They say this is a drug free property when you sign the lease, thats the best joke I've ever heard. I wish the cops would just drive through randomly and see what we see on a daily basis, they don't even try to hide it... The pictures posted are NOT what the place looks like its photo shopped lol the pot holes will wreck your tires but they don't care... They make so many office errors you will get many notices saying you owe late fees even if you paid on time so be sure to get a receipt and keep it so you have proof. If you want real details of this place message anyone thats left a review. They'll probably even share pictures lol... It's not a good place for a family, I won't refer them to an enemy let alone anyone I like. Beware people they are great at getting their money but terrible at everything else.

Especially a great Mexican restaurant pretty much in the parking lot. The front door to the apartment is flimsy and the locking mechanisms are far from ultra secure. I had to buy a good door wedge to feel comfortable inside. The AC units are loud and you only have a small, half size, water heater that greatly reduced shower time. No dishwasher and very outdated sinks, faucets and cabinets. I had to plunge my shower drain several times just to get the water to flow at all. Still slow but draining. The main parking lot is well lit but the side and back parking lots are not. Very dark and I advise you to be very careful outside the lit areas. Weekends are loud with music and people smoking weed in the parking lot and outside their doors. It seems to be mostly working class people of the "migrant" persuasion that basically keep to themselves. The car maintenance happening in the parking lot is unsightly. The price was certainly reasonable but you kinda get what you pay for. Your mileage may vary.

The Inn and Apartments have multiple buildings and a pool and a laundry room. My dog enjoyed the grass to run around and play catch. If coming home late, do not worry about finding a parking spot. Initially, I reserved the Monthly apartments because of the price and I did not know about my reimbursement. If possible, actually, not possible, I would stay away from this section of the hotel due to the poor maintenance and dust in those apartments. The TDY apartments define luxury in Daleville. The kitchen has all the utensils needed, coffee pot, and multiple dishes. The carpet softly fills your toes. A flat screen and DVD player sits in the living room and the bedroom. All the furniture was new as if it was straight out of a furniture store new.
