The apartment was quaint and well furnished with a fully functional kitchen and a balcony (I believe most rooms have one), we stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. It comes with a tv, cable and DVD player, they even have some old DVDs you can borrow. The location is somewhat fancier than I would prefer, as there is not much nearby to do at night, but it is within 10 minutes walk of two major Tube stations and a ton of bus stops, so it's easy enough to get around while they're running. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
For the priciness of the stay, there are a few things worth mentioning. Firstly, they have a strange rule that you have to pay 9£ a day per device for wifi, if you don't book directly through the hotel but if you do, it's complementary. I consider free wifi to be standard and a necessity when traveling these days, but if it doesn't bother you, feel free to book anywhere. Second, the elevator is ancient and scary, it takes forever and you can't tell if you've actually called it. Another thing, the balcony is a huge plus, but it's not so great when there are smokers on the balcony directly below your room. This may be true all over London in my limited experience but, the shower in the second bathroom (at least on the 5th floor) has awful pressure, it's like trying to shower under a dripping faucet. And on a sunny day, it gets extremely hot, but they were kind enough to bring us a portable giant AC that needed to have a tube feeding out the window for ventilation. However, these are minor issues that may not affect you at all.
Overall, it's a pleasant and quaint place to stay if you're looking for something in a quiet more upscale area. read more
