Okay, so my opinion on this place has changed dramatically. I saw who I believe was the manager. Keep in mind I've Been in here at least a dozen and a half times. After giving her my I'd she says, "sir do you have any other id? I can't even tell you are a u.s. citizen." From my AMERICAN passport. Yeah. Ok. First of all, who doesn't know that American pasports, are for Americans. So I feel offended seeing as how clearly she could see how many times I've been in there on the screen including the last four days in a row, but coincidentally she sees my passport and that it says I was born abroad and suddenly there's a problem. Interestingly very similar situations having unfolded for me in airports on occasion. From a legal standpoint the law, STATE law not store policy dictates what is required to obtain medicinal marijuana, meaning to GET the rec you must meet certain criteria, the fee, PROOF OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENCE, and approval from a physician to use it for whatever ailment. So in reality, A CALIFORNIA STATE ISSUED rec. IS proof of residence, nevertheless for the sake of argument let's say it's not. You stop me now? SEVEN MONTHS after my first visit? and EVERY other one of those visits i used this very same i.d.? and after you yourself have physically seen me and spoken to me before? Yeah. won't be coming back. Ignorance is SOOO ugly. If u don't know what i.d. is for what you probably shouldn't be dealing with the public or with anything but coloring book for that matter let alone a job that requires daily handling of ids. I will emphasize that she did let me in and said bring it next time, but that's not the point. Just the way she held my i.d. up and said, " I can't even tell if your a U.S. citezen" really rubbed me the wrong way. I actually had to argue with her and tell her AMERICAN passports are for Americans it's called being born abroad. For all she knows I could have a congressional medal of honor. O actually PAY my taxes and don't have a criminal record. I don't take handouts like unemployment or EBT. People's OC is everything I was looking for in a dispensary! Huge variety, rad staff, and a storefront that actually feels like weed is legal (instead of some sketch AF unlabeled unit in an industrial park in Santa Ana - y'all know exactly what I'm talking about). I just told my ultra-conservative parents about using medicinal mj for the first time and now I'm planning on taking them in with me because I think People's OC would make them way more comfortable with pot - it's that classy of a joint (pun totally intended). I worked with Sabrina and she was the fucking best. I was all over the place after a long day and she was super patient with me the whole time. She took at least an hour walking me through all my different CBD options, never trying to up-sell me on anything and always being honest when she didn't know a ton about a certain product. I told her I spend most of the year in a non-weed friendly state for school and she suggested some really helpful resources to help me get my medicine. Best of all she was just an all around rad human being and she made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend. I was in people's just today to purchase a little bit of flower for my wife. The total amount for the purchase was $47.89. I had $40 in cash on me and I was going to put the rest onto my credit card. When I ran my card it came back as declined. Thought this was strange since I had plenty of money available on the card. So I ran out to my car to see how much cash I had laying inside my vehicle and I was able to come up with $7.50. which means I was short 48 cents for the purchase. Instead of them offering to help out they canceled my transaction. I got in the car I noticed on my phone that I got an alert that the pin number entered on the credit card machine was invalid and it was not due to insufficient funds but rather a mistake with their credit card machine. What baffles me is the fact that for 48 cents they would have rather lost the sale than to help somebody out. 48 cents? Really nobodys going to pull two quarters out of their pocket and said here we've got you. You would rather lose my business over 48 cents that's fucking ridiculous. How greedy and unprofessional of the business. Do yourself a favor if you want to find good deals and get great service go to any of the other dispensaries like cookies or planet 13 anywhere but this shit hole place. read more

Overpriced and crap weed. I went to peoples because I received a text saying that the 1000mg cookie is half off and I thought why not. Peoples is always overpriced and low quality but I thought what the hell maybe a 1000 mg cookie will be good. Wrong. So so wrong. I go to pick up my order and I'm told that my total it 30 dollars higher than hat I was told through the app! I WISH I had just walked out. Instead some sleazy guy who ironically is incredibly Stoned/cross faded saying he was the manager and a bunch of nonsense that the app messed up and I was gonna have to pay 30 more than promised. So you want to rip me off, over charge me and make me sound like I don't know what I'm talking about? Okay fine, I'll pull Up the app to show you the literal amount! I'm a huge fan of this shop, most other places I've been to are a little sketchy whereas People's is really professional. I feel safe with all the security guards around the shop AND in the parking lot and really who can put a price on safety? Relaxed vibes and fair prices. Also love the new express lane they got going, essentially if you know exactly what you want you take that line to the far right and you're in and out in a flash. Great job People's keep it up! I have not been back to this dispensary since last summer. Today I came in and wanted to buy Plus brand gummies which run less than $20. The girl behind the counter said they were out and offered me another brand Kushy CBD. She said they were much higher quality - NOT! I went ahead and purchaed them and when I was in the parking lot I decided to open them. They were stuck together and there were only 10. With the Plus brand, you get 20 - 10mg each. I tried to separate the gummies and they were very hard to pull apart. See the photos. I tried to return them and Peoples OC would not take them back. I feel this place has really gotten expensive and not very consumer friendly. I much prefer Bud N Bloom or Show Gro. I will not be back. read more
