After five minutes with Anthonio I not only had a new tailor, I had a new friend. No longer will I have to put up with some hipster huckster trying to sell me clothes or shoes styled for 20-somethings. I went in to replace a wardrobe essential . . . my black blazer. I didn't know they could shrink like that (wink, wink)! Anyway, Anthonio and I spent the next hour fitting the blazer and two pairs of matching trousers. That's how meticulous he is about making sure you look good in his clothes. I'm sure his business is built upon the word-of-mouth, "Hey, that's a great looking suit. Where'd you get it?" While I waited for Anthonio to finish with a customer I strolled around looking at all that Moda Domani has to offer. I'm convinced I can find everything I need to stay well dressed. This time I found the blazer I needed hanging on the rack, but I'm anxious now to get measured for one of Anthonio's bespoke suits.

The woman who served me must have been the owner. She took great pride in her establishment, and I could see why. Unfortunately, the pricing was a little out of touch. These were jeans that only had to be shortened. The $40 price was more than the cost of the pants. It was a lovely experience but sadly, I won't be back.

I was lowkey excited to have found my new tailor after a multi-year drought. It's not easy to find…read morea spot in the area that does good work, and I was optimistic about this from the jump. Ultimately, I ended up leaving this place with a bad taste in my mouth. When I got sized up and measured for my old suit, a blazer, and a casual button-down, everything was great. The staff was friendly, and Sarah did a nice job talking me through everything. I'll be real, it was ultimately a lot more money than I thought it would be. This place has a good reputation and I needed it done, so I rolled with it. You pay up front and then come back on the date they tell you. I'll say, a courtesy call that it's ready would've been nice as this is the kind of thing that easily slips the mind. Went in to get it, and noticed the button-down was still crazy long. Like, too long to wear. We had just sized it up a few weeks prior, and again, I remember it all clearly having had a positive interaction. I remembered the specifics -- at one point I thought the suggested length would be way too short, but we ultimately settled on an inch or so hemmed up. So I mention this, and whoever was taking care of me (not the same, friendly person from my first visit) was acting as if they'll make it all right, but noted it would be a new job. I.e., I'd have to pay even MORE than the $335 I'd already paid for the suit, blazer, and shirt taken in. I was surprised and was like, OK, but then it didn't sit well... again, I remember already going through this. That's where they left it. The way it came off to me was a half-assed, "Oh we just want you to be happy, so feel free to leave it with us and we can do what we said we were going to but charge you more for what we originally promised." Customer service matters, and you never want to drop a bag of money and feel dissatisfied, but that's where I'm at. I'm giving the courtesy of three stars again because the first half was a positive experience, and they ultimately got the suit and jacket right and on time. I respect that, but am disappointed to be right where I started with my shirt. Budget's already spent on alterations for the next couple years, and in my opinion, hemming it an inch to fulfill the original order shouldn't be a hill they die on. On to the next, and if you go here, I hope you get better resolution and customer service than I did.

As a plus size bride, I did not want to make an already vulnerable experience harder with a difficult experience before my wedding. And the hard part: I wanted them to be local. I feel incredibly blessed that I found Courtney, and that she took me in. She was INCREDIBLE. So sweet, incredibly talented and knowledgeable... not to mention very sensitive. She talked to me, asked me questions about my big day, and made me feel right at home... and EXCITED. I can't thank her enough. Plus, her little studio here in Chico is the best. A great interpersonal experience where you feel like the most important thing. She took my dress in a whole size, altered my sleeves, and added a bustle to my dress (with custom instructions for my friend). I recommend Courtney to anyone and everyone.

By serendipity, he was on home on leave during her passing, and agreed, when asked, by his grandfather, the Airforce Vet, to cancel his plans, drive 8 hours, and be present and uniformed at the funeral. Great Grandma married an Army Air Corpsman after a whirlwind romance in 1942. She would have been quite impressed by the uniform. After all, she kept the last one over 50 years. In packing on Sunday night for a Tuesday morning funeral, our Marine became aware that his SIZE 14 patent leather shoes had not made the trip with his blues. Because Grandpa was so appreciative of his presence, that he assigned him pall bearer duties, ONLY the dress blues were appropriate for the event. I began first thing Monday morning calling any store in the KC area that had a sliver of a chance of fixing this problem in 24 hours or less. Keith and his staff answered their phone - no phone tree. They knew their inventory, their rental and sales abilities, and they jumped into action. When I arrived at 0930 the next morning, they had a plan A, a Plan B, and epic customer service and attention. I have blanked out the Marine's face as it was taken after the funeral. After fulfilling his duties at Mt Washington Cemetery, uphill, during a week with a rather lot of moisture, his shoes are no longer in regs... but they certainly completed the mission.
