The restaurant became extremely noisy as the bar and dinner tables are only separated by a fabric curtain. Most of the dinner was adequate but some not so much. All in all it was a very expensive just so so dinner experience.

But, I do have leather boots and shoes, and work across the street from Hælebaren, so it's been an obvious choice for the point at which I finally manage to salvage a pair of well loved heels. I honestly wish I had been wise enough to take before and after pictures of the two pairs of shoes I've brought in so far. One was a pair of ankle boots bought last winter and worn basically every day since then. The heels were worn out, the tongue on the inside was regularly creeping all over the place and not staying where it should, and the back part of the heel was torn up from getting stuck in cobblestones about 10 too many times. I brought them in with VERY low expectations, and came back two hours later to a brand new pair of shoes. The cost was around 200kr, which was TOTALLY WORTH not having to buy a new pair. Last week I went back in, this time confident that I'd be pleased with the results, and with a pair of boots I wore all the other days I wasn't wearing my ankle boots. The sole was coming unglued from the bottom of the shoe. The heels were totally worn down (this seems to be a trend for me), the leather was worn and stained from too many days on salted sidewalks in the winter. They were restored to almost new, for 150kr. They also sell some beautiful leather goods (think ipad covers and purses, and some nice belts), and the guys inside are an absolute delight. They do not skirt on the customer service, which really makes the experience that much more pleasant. I probably won't ever take my shoes to another cobbler in town so long as these guys are around.

I think we were only in the terminal for 5 minutes while checking in as suite guests. We were whisked away onto the ship to check into our muster station and seated for lunch at Cagney's Steakhouse within 15 minutes. There's something to be said about the great level of service here when embarking on a smaller cruise ship out of Copenhagen. The actual port is about a 20 minute drive from the city center depending on traffic. Our trip ended up being longer from Christianshavn due to a marathon that day. I don't know what it is about us and marathons. We always seem to be caught in the middle of one. It was just a minor detour that took us around the city to the port. It was a great way to see the rest of Copenhagen. We even passed by the world famous Noma restaurant. You know... the one that earned not 1, but 3 Michelin stars. That was so worth the detour. Anyway, just be sure that you plan enough time to get to the port. It's not the most beautiful port in the world. The only views I can think of would be of the Middelgrunden Offshore Wind Farm and the shoreline of Sweden off in the distance. The sailaway from here may have been better on the aft side of the ship with all the seagulls. Either way, it was still a very smooth embarkation from this terminal. I wouldn't hesitate to book another cruise that starts in Copenhagen.

The village of Sollerod is very old but their cemetery is but a small humble plot. WHat's most interesting is that it's on display to the public not hidden behind any walls. I guess they honor their deceased in a very different way here
