It was hot and there is nothing better than an iced coffee or a coke spider when in the country…read more Dubbo has gone a little upmarket so finding an ordinary milkbar is just a little too difficult. This place was OK and they seemed to have a few local patrons. You can't really go wrong with a coke spider except if the order was not correctly taken but they got it right in the end. As for the iced coffee....it was served in a jar with handle. Not quite sure what they were thinking. The caramel oozed down the sides each time the spoon or straw was inserted. This might explain why the tables were a little sticky. It wasn't as if they didn't have an appropriate glass to put it in as the coke spider was OK. Service was pleasant and there seemed to be happy customers at another table using the free wifi. Not sure what they had as it must have been consumed well before we got there.

The hostess was very interesting and shared how the different fortified wines were made. The ports are sold at the cellar door and at a few markets. My favourite drop was the port with a blend of rum in it. It was very different with a strong but smooth taste and it definitely stimulated my senses. I loved the white port with a taste of lemon in it , great for dribbling over ice cream. The prices for ports are reasonable.
