The admissions department helped us to get everything in place quickly and very patiently answered all of our questions. The guidance counselor met with us the first morning and got us squared away easily. Everyone has been so friendly and willing to answer questions and explain how it all works. (I ask a lot of questions!) My daughter absolutely loves her teachers and has made a lot of friends. She is dyslexic and STF was able to personalize her course levels to match where she is in different subjects. She's not only excelling in her classes but, for the first time ever, is excited to go to school. Yes there are uniforms, but she's used to that so that wasn't a problem. For example, as a senior in high school at DCA, I did not have an elective the first period; however, my mother worked as a teacher there and had a class the first period. The principal found me and threatened me if I was seen on school property (even sitting in an empty room working on homework) before my first period, that I would not be able to graduate. In addition, when the principal found gum on a table, she brought it in front of the whole school and said she was going to do a DNA test because nobody would own up to it. Numerous events have happened like this time and time again. Putting her hands physically on me, searching my backpack (because she heard I had headphones in my backpack), and was threatening in all areas. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. It is an automatic signup for years and years of counseling.
