I was referred to Steven Scheer by a trusted family real estate lawyer to fight a frivolous…read morelawsuit. The issues were technical, the process was protracted, and I live thousands of miles away. As a general contractor dealing with real estate and contracts for a living, I have been involved in complex legal disputes in the past, and while I'm no legal expert, I do know what good and bad outcomes actually look like. Of all the stressful legal interactions that life has thrown at me, Steve and his partner Craig Call handed me the clearest and best resolution to any one of them. Compared to other cases and situations that require a third party to resolve, when showtime arrived they performed admirably. They showed up 100%, they were prepared, they let no advantage slip, and they brought considerable experience to bear navigating the legal process and the personalities of the courtroom. They followed up afterward. The terms of representation were clear and the costs were reasonable. On a personal note, both Steve and Craig revealed a respectable sense of decency with how they conducted themselves behind closed doors at critical moments, too. I firmly believe that a person can be judged by what they do when they think nobody's looking and I feel comfortable saying they're the kind of people I want to associate with. I highly recommend them without reservation.

Robert e nye might be one of the worst humans I've ever encountered. While reading articles about…read morethe tragic death of my loved one, i came across her name posted on his website. He used her death as an advertisement. Referred to her as male and posted a completely different motorcycle he found online insinuating it was hers. When i called his law firm i was able to speak with him and told him it was terrible he used the death of my loved one which he had No involvement in (No we did not hire him ever!!) as advertisement he said to me, "ma'am we live in America and i can do that" and then HUNG up the phone. How awful to use the death of a young woman as advertisement. But it's even worse to have no regard for the family of the deceased. Anything to make a dollar. I'm shaking as I write this. Please, don't give a greedy heartless man your business. America is freedom yes, but we should be kind and take care of one another. Not take advantage for personal gain. Especially under these circumstances.

Very patient and extremely easy to work with. I came across JD after going through a very rough patch in my life resulting in some serious legal trouble. Unlike many other attorneys I came across, he meant every word he told me and I knew it. There was nothing he couldn't do in this situation and he delivered an amazing result just like he said. I'm grateful for the hard work and dedication he put into my case because without him, I'd be in a world full of trouble. Couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome! I highly recommend NYE Law for their remarkable service and unwavering support and I'll be sure to recommend him to anyone going through/needing legal support and service, as should anyone else!

Worst Home Closing Ever…read more Seriously, you have so many choices available to you in Real Estate closings, why would you choose this office? Communication was horrible... When I had occasion to speak with Mr. Wiener on the phone he was a condescending jerk. The closing was pushed back three days initially, no big deal, but then the office failed to obtain closing documents from the bank in a timely manner, and we instructed them that we would be closing out of state, which they stated was "Absolutely not a problem." So not having the required documents, we were told the afternoon before closing that it wasn't going to happen. Apparently no one called the buyer to explain this at all, as they showed up the next day to close, and Mr. Weiner then tried to blame it on us, as we were out of town. He actually called me and asked if we were planning on showing up at the closing, after we had discussed this at length with his paralegal four weeks before. He then proceeded to lie stating they had all the documents, specifically stating a hard copy, and the only thing lacking was us. We later found out that they had nothing, as their internet was down, and therefore they couldn't even obtain the documents. Seriously, if this is how you want to be treated in a business transaction (an expensive one at that...) go for it. But I can honestly say, this is the worst closing attorney experience I've ever had, they should be very ashamed.
