We did our research prior, but it was still an overwhelming task to say the least. -Where should we look? -What is our budget? -Are we getting taken advantage of in our price? -Are we settling on defects/lack of features in a house? -etc. etc. etc. All while trying to manage our jobs, school, coordinating our expiration of rental agreement from our current house, our wedding plans, and any other things that came into the mix. We found Sandy through a family friend. At our very first house together that she seamlessly coordinated with us, we knew we had the right realtor and that we were going to find our short-term or long-term dream home with her. She's friendly (made us feel less stressed because she could visibly see it on us), honest (points out various flaws within the home and questions to ask the seller if we wanted to move forward with the home), and timely (very quick to get back to us on anything we have questions about or when it came time to move us to the next step of putting the offer in to communicate with another realtor). She'd always apologize for the "delay" in getting back to us, even though it was a half hour or so! We spent soooo much time with Sandy, where we thought that we were her only client, only to find out towards the end of this process that she was managing other clients as well! For my fiancé and I, it was our first home purchase, so we were afraid of getting wrapped into something we didn't fully understand or getting the "run-around" on something. This was NOT the case for ANYTHING we went through during out 10 home viewings where she was present, offer process, and purchasing process. She explained each document in detail, and even went through it again after we still looked glazed over in our eyes that we didn't understand. Sandy Dunakey, plain and simple, is the best of the best. Whether you're a seasoned home buyer/seller or don't have a clue, she's there to help you every step of the way and treats you like a family member, rather than a client. Even though we found a home we're going to stay in for a while, we can't wait for the next time that we need to buy and sell, because Sandy's going to be our choice, hands down! I contacted the Property Manager via email and was courteous. On 4/5/14, I let him know that the…read moresteps leading to my front porch had become loose during the winter and needed repair. I acknowledged that it could take some time for a permanent fix but that a temporary one would suffice. My main concern was/is safety. On 4/7/14, his response was we will see what we can do. On 4/18/14 I emailed that nothing had been done and that 11 days is an unacceptable amount of time to address a safety concern. I received an out of office reply. The Property Manager has bothered me about minor, non-safety related issues, eg a "Christmas Tree" on my front porch, yet can't be bothered to address something that IS a clear safety hazard.
