Since it wasn't my first time, it felt like a nice refresh just looking around and enjoying the collection once more. The museum does an impressive job showcasing the history of American Airlines aviation. You'll find a wide range of artifacts including uniforms, photos, silverware, documents, and more that tell the story of the airline's past and present. One of the highlights for me was seeing the Flagship Knoxville DC-3 again. I was able to view the interior and take plenty of pictures of this classic aircraft. If you're planning a visit, I recommend checking their official website (crsmithmuseum.org) for the most up-to-date information, as hours and schedules can change. Currently, the museum is open Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast, an American Airlines team member, or simply curious about airline history, the C.R. Smith Museum is well worth a visit. Great exhibits and a memorable experience overall.

You enter on the downstairs and then are escorted to the upstairs exhibit. They have bathrooms and water fountains available. When exiting, unless you love stairs make sure to use the elevator exit.

It's such a feel good feeling to have when you read about their brave and courageous stories. When you first arrive, the design of this structure is pretty modern day artsy. The lobby is huge and is free to roam around. Try looking on Groupons for deals on the tickets, otherwise, once you get it, you'll be escorted upstairs to watch an amazing well put together video of these heroes. Once the video is over, you exit out into the 2nd floor where all the history and stories are. Even though, I enjoyed reading some of these heroes, I just don't like reading much so I walked through it pretty fast. My kids enjoyed it more than I did. They have a small little goft shop and a cafe in the back area. There is a banquet hall type of area, but I'm not sure how that all works. The staff are very friendly and informational. There is a lot of free parking available. The surrounding areas of this property is just beautiful. There's a large pond in front of the Rangers stadium. It wasn't so busy so you don't feel rushed when you're roaming around.

Great speakers, relevant to the occasion and Dallas & the lengths of the talks were perfect. Friendly staff & I loved it that parking was directly across the street (it's downtown). The museum is beautiful and even though Juneteenth was the occasion, I so appreciated that we could view the museum in its entirety & learn a ton about the Holocaust. They did an excellent job of telling the story & their docents were super knowledgeable. I'm addicted to magnets, so I bought one in their gift shop where the items were reasonably priced. Good experience. Horrendous atrocities suffered by both groups. Valuable history lessons were shared that day though for all in attendance.

I would recommend looking on Groupon for the best deal on admission prices. The prices for two people were good. They had insightful and beautiful art pieces throughout the museum. The staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. They have a couple of other exhibits available that you can pay for. We opted to stick with the main exhibit they offered. The museum had a wierd smell in some parts of the exhibit. I believe this was due to nearby trash bins and food preparation for an event. We enjoyed learning and viewing biblical and historical accounts from centuries ago. They have a big mural in the back of the museum that showcases influential people spanning decades which is worth checking out. Their gift shop ranges from affordable to pricey, however I enjoyed looking around for a souvenir. You could easily spend an hour or more here, the museum is all one story. They have a lovely garden (Via Dolorosa Sculpture Garden) adjacent to the museum with statues dedicated to Jesus marking his journey to the Cross. They have benches to sit throughout the garden surrounded by flowers and butterflies. They have a survivor tree dedicated to 9/11 victims and their families. The Scuplture Garden was peaceful, simple yet beautiful.

Didn't take too long to go through this since we didn't want to stop and draw (we actually get to participate in art stuff on our own often enough). Staff were really friendly here as well. I would suggest giving this place at least a little of your time, especially since it doesn't cost anything.

The old photos of people walking the same streets we were on was fascinating. We saw clothing and furniture and dishes from 1800s an early 1900s. We completely lost track of time in there.
