As an ice cream fan, I love the variety Cold Stone has to offer. I went their recently to claim my Birthday BOGO offer. I got a founder's favorite, and a seasonal special, The apple of my pumpkin pie. I love fudge, caramel, and brownies in my ice cream which was delivered to me in the Founder's Favorite. On the other hand, I was curious about the Apple and pumpkin pie concoction that I am happy to report that I liked. Apart from this occasion too I've visited this parlour and I've always enjoyed my treats.

It was a peak time for the business and it was a long waiting queue, mainly because there was only one person making the orders and working the register. Poor management on scheduling resources for the business. Everyone had to wait a long time for their orders. I hope it was a one off day for them on this location.

Skimpy on the toppings .. even after you pay extra. Other locations give more toppings, especially for the cost

We stumbled upon this bakery on a whim when walking around the parking lot looking at other things…read more Even though we were about to go eat dinner, we stopped in for a treat. I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back.

Also a good place to stop for sweets! So many options and…read moreI'm sure you'll find something you'll love! The interior was beautiful and the service was awesome!

Visited May 17 around 2:05 PM, just the two of us. Seated right away, orders taken within minutes,…read moreand the appetizer came out quickly. Entrées followed in a reasonable time, no real issue there. Sammy G's has been in High Point for years and offers a wide menu with a little bit of everything. They also bring out little yeast rolls that are pretty good and they were warm when served. We started with the thin cut onion rings. My husband said "less than spectacular," and that sums it up. Some were sliced so thin you mostly tasted breading, and they were a bit greasy. I would skip these. He ordered the fish sandwich with Brussels sprouts (premium side with a small upcharge). The sandwich was okay, nothing special. The Brussels sprouts were good, nicely cooked with solid flavor. I had the Fratellis salad with greens, cranberries, feta, mozzarella, Granny Smith apples, and candied pecans, and added sirloin for an upcharge. They forgot the steak at first, but brought it out shortly after in a separate bowl. Not a big deal. The sirloin was cooked medium as requested, a little red inside and tender enough to cut easily. It had good flavor. I chose the apple cider vinaigrette, which worked well with the salad. I also ordered the chef's selection soup, which was supposed to be lobster bisque. If there was any lobster, it was microscopic. The flavor was slightly bitter and just not good. I asked for it to be taken off the bill. Service handled everything well, including the mistake with the steak and the soup. Atmosphere is casual tavern style, relaxed and easy for a weekday lunch. Must order: Fratellis salad with sirloin and apple cider vinaigrette (yummy), Brussels sprouts Heads up: Skip the thin cut onion rings and don't expect much from the bisque. Other soups, I've had here in the past have been great though.
