I'm a fan of the industrial animals they have out the front, and by the looks of the flowers inside, they know how to put together a bunch for any occasion. When looking for flowers for my wedding I went into Oopsy daisy flowers…read more I found the owner to be extremely helpful and accommodating. She was able to show me pictures of some previous arrangements she had done, which all looked great. I don't know much about flowers, and what is in season when. I liked that she didn't make me feel silly for asking what I thought were really basic questions about flowers. Her quote for my bouquet was very reasonable, within the top three from the ten shops I enquired to. I didn't end up going with this florist, so I cannot comment on the service, but I have since brought the odd bouquet. The flowers are always rich in colour and fragrance, and last for ages.

Took all of about ten minutes on a fairly busy day. As I mentioned, they also have gifts and soft toys, so if you're putting together a bit of a package of flowers and gifts, this is a good place to get everything. Good place.

The flowers are always fresh and they have a large selection of bouquets and single stems. The main reason I choose to come here is because of their opening hours, they seem to open much earlier and close much later than most regular florist. This makes them extremely convents and reliable if you need a last minuet gift. The workers here are also extremely helpful and polite, they give good advice of what flowers they think will work together and are happy to work according to your budget. I came here and bought 4 bouquets once and the woman offered me a generous discount. I definitely give this place a thumbs up!

I have seen this attempted in so many florists and where they have failed, this place has succeeded. There are gifts for all types of people with ornaments, birdcages, and even bright plastic flags and streamers. There is a cute range of bears too - how could there not be? The service here was pretty poor though. The lady didn't even look up from her work at the counter when my Mum and I walked in and she most certainly didn't make any move to acknowledge us as we wandered around exclaiming in delight at all the gorgeous flowers and objects on offer. The pricing was average - some things were quite expensive and others were cheap. It was hard to tell what was a bargain and what was a rip-off. Otherwise, I totally loved the shop and will definitely be hitting it next time I need a nice gift or some flowers.

So irresistible in fact that I couldn't help but buy one, (even though it was way overpriced at $35). The shop itself was in quite an old building and had a few cracks in the walls. It was obvious that staff had tried to distract attention away from these but it still made it feel a little dirtier. The area behind the counter was quite messy too. If there was a screen behind it then the shop would look a lot nicer. There were some gorgeous home accessories on the walls and there was a good range of gifts scattered amongst the flowers. There are also cards here to attach to any flowers you want delivered. The owner was very friendly and was helping the person ahead of me spell the word 'sincerely' very patiently. The prices here are quite good - I could afford to shop here.

It's very clean, you feel underdressed when you go in, and it's just a wee bit more expensive than everywhere else. Having said that, it's nothing but quality within. At Lygon Street nursery you will find designer plants, mature fiddle lead figs without a spot on them and gorgeous, picture-perfect pots to boot. I popped in to find a Valentine's Day present for BAE (I say that, tongue-in-cheek) as he likes plants just as much as me. I spotted the most gorgeous chilli plants on the footpath out the front as I headed in and instantly knew that was the one - the perfect present, don't you think? The staff gave me some great tips to keep the little guy alive - they definitely know what they're talking about. While I didn't spot any succulents, I suspect they all lay out the back in the outdoor section, which I did not venture out to. All-in-all, a terrific nursery with absolutely perfect plants.
