It was also brighter and less crowded than other nearby shops. I found the perfect gift to buy my friends from home. Unfortunately the chances of some of them reading this review are rather high (they yelp and stuff), sooo I'm going to keep the content of my purchase quiet. I will say I bought seven of the top-secret items (in different colors...but still. #squad) for 48€ total. If you're in the Grand Place area, this is certainly a worthy stop.

This souvenir shop has many of the things that are similar in other souvenir shops but they were located on a corner further down from the main square so less packed. They have a solid variety of clothing and goods but I specifically was looking for the onesie and a few postcards. Purchased a onesie and 6 postcards for 17.75 Euro. The staff here were helpful but I found that the rude people were other tourists. They way they cut in line and pushed out in front of me did a Ratatouille flashback to my Chinatown adventures. No wonder Americans get a bad rap. My peeps were rude in that store. Thanks for embarrassing me and the country, idiots.

Salut!

They had a lot of cute and reasonably priced items that are good for gifts or the office, and more literature on Flanders than you'll ever want. It was very reminiscent of a museum gift shop. Service left much to be desired, but it's worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

We went in to check if they had any vacancy and the lady spoke only french, so I had to communicate with her. My husband was completely clueless. There's a little souvenir shop downstairs and so the lady was explaining to us how to get in when their shop closes for the day. She showed us the code to get into the front door and gave us the key to our room. The stairs are steep, so we left our stroller downstairs with her. The room is nice, perfect size, free wifi and a view of the mannequin pis (the peeing boy) right outside our room. The windows are decorated with flower boxes and it brought a fresh scent into the room. All hours of the day, we would see people standing in line to take photos with the peeing boy statue, it was funny. We were in a great area because the city hall, the great restaurants, all the wonderful belgian waffle places, and chocolate places were a walk away, some were right across the street! We were able to see Godiva from our room! The price was very good for such a great area and breakfast is continental with tea and baked goods, very fresh though! There's a bar right downstairs and we were able to sit outside, enjoy a few Belgium beers (my husband also smoked his cuban) and people watch. It was such a great location, we'll stay here again the next time we're in town!
