They had an English menu available which was super helpful . The food menu is a lot smaller than their wine menu, which was impressive. I also had some bubbles and a cappuccino. We were given entry salads with the tastiest dressing I have had in a while. I asked what it was made out of and our waiter said: beef stock, three types of vinegar and olive oil. It was refreshing, light and I will attempt to make it myself. My favorite dish was a Thai style tuna ceviche appetizer and it was so flavorful. I probably would have been fine with ordering just this. It was a pleasant surprise from the typical Frisian style of cooking. I had the Sansibars Fischtopf mit Gambas, Gemuse und aioli - The translation didn't state that it was more of a fish stew. I thought it would be more of a bowl style served over a carb. It was tasty but I could not finish it, it was also boiling hot. It was different yet in line with Frisian cuisine. My boyfriend ordered the Leberkäse and he loved it, big portion for a big appetite. There are plenty of seating options, dog friendly, and ample space to relax. They also have a gift shop closer to the beach if you want to pick up any souvenirs for any of your foodie friends/family back home. They have the new EV VW bus that can take you from the parking lot to the restaurant.

This bar caters to status-conscious alcoholics who don't need to worry about restaurant bills. The…read morelist of alcoholic beverages is ridiculously long and you get it even for lunch or teatime. So far, so Sylt! But the quality of food and service is too irregular to be recommended. E.g. they have the most awesome vanilla cake - but their hot chocolate is made from cheap instant powder - and they start you off with a free, low quality salad. For cake and hot chocolate! :D
