Supposed bad weather meant no mountain climbing so the plan was to go climbing inside. According to…read moregoogle this climbing hall is the best there is in Switzerland. Everything on the site looked pretty impressive so we decided to take the train and check it out. Ok first of all when you stare outside it's literally a perfect grey cube that says "vertic-halle" and that's about it. When you go inside, wow, was I impressed. I come from California where we have a massive load of impressive climbing gyms, but this most certainly beat most of them. Pricing is a bit expensive here. It's 24 francs for a daypass to climb for adults and for rental shoes is 5 francs. Because it was already quite pricey we decided just to stick with bouldering. However if you are here the entire day it's worth it and I definitely suggest doing so too! They recently added a massive area for bouldering which was hecka impressive. Very clean and aesthetic white walls with colorful holds. The bouldering alone was quite impressive and the way they grade here is a bit confusing but it works a lot better. On the main bouldering walls you top out and then you climb over. They've made it extremely convenient so when you top out they have holds they cut into the wood like handles to have an easy jug grip. The entire bouldering section is well padded down. One side is not allowed for topping out and only is allowed to be down climbed. Sport/lead: they have a massive amount of routes to top rope, lead climb and/or auto belay. I've taken several photos to show and their walls are over 50ft high!!! It's so awesome and it would be ideally a phenomenal place to train if you needed to work on your endurance for outdoors. They also have an area for children! Super cute with animals on the wall along the hold and there is a cargo net and rope climb in the corner of it. Two things that also impressed me a lot was the cleanliness of the changing rooms. They have toilets, showers, and lockers as well. It's small, but very nice and neat. The other thing I was impressed by was these wooden standing boxes they have around the bouldering section that hold chalk in them! I've never seen anything like it before! Overall I was highly impressed and really loved coming here! Although a tad bit on the expensive side I definitely recommend coming. TL;DR - DEFINITELY check this place if you're here and need an indoor climbing gym! It's quite impressive and they have a huge variety of sport climbing as well as a newly added bouldering section!
