J'ai découvert cela, et je suis retourné au magasin le lendemain, au cognac, à la réception, sac, tout. Aucun remboursement. Je comprends qu'il mord à rembourser une bouteille de 600 $, et je suis sûr qu'il dit "pas de remboursement" quelque part sur le site. Mais c'est 2013. C'est la merde. Il me semblait que les propriétaires ont quitté leurs parents en charge, et la mère ne savait pas comment faire un remboursement sur la machine carte de crédit, de sorte qu'au lieu d'essayer, ils m'ont refusé un remboursement. Myself and a friend both bought a $600 bottle of cognac as a present for a mutual friend, on Friday. I discovered this,and went back to the shop the next day, with cognac, receipt, bag, everything. No refund. I understand it bites to refund a $600 bottle, and I'm sure it says "no refunds" somewhere on the website. But it's 2013. This is shit. It seemed to me that the owners left their parents in charge, and the parent didn't know how to do a refund on the creditcard machine, so instead of trying, they refused me a refund. Owners come back on Monday. I fly out today. If you define the art of good service as being graceful in difficult situations, La Cognatheque is shitty service. A pity. It is a beautiful shop, in a beautiful city.

We followed a group who spent a small fortune on very expensive Cognac but when I held the door for them to leave, were incapable of saying thank you.. Not the fault of the Cognatheque. But The lady who had served them was far more interested in counting her receipt than she was in even acknowledging our presence. We were at this time the only people in the shop, yet not even a 'hello'. Rarely have I seen anyone more arrogant and rude in a position to 'welcome' visitors. Needless to say we left without purchasing and won't be returning!
