When you first walk into the shop you get the feeling of entering a thrift shop, here you can get a coffee. Which was delicious and done with great care. If you walk past the counter you enter the vinyl part of the store. At first you think it's neatly organized and well taken care of. The price stickers on the records will tell you that some records are way overpriced and some are good bargains. (You have to watch out for bootlegs in the store, so buyer's beware.) The quality is great overall. You have a splendid couple of hours digging until you go to the counter to pay for your selected records. Then the horror begins. He looks at the records and the prices. He takes them over to his computer and starts searching and comparing prices on Discogs and Ebay. For instance I had a couple of records with a price sticker of €18, which is a lot for a common second hand record in decent shape. Discogs prices were between 15 - 30. I checked this to know whether €18 was a good price for a VG+ record you know. He comes back to me and says I needed to pay 35 for that record and over €150 for the 4 records in total that I wanted to buy. Which he priced himself between 12 - 25 each before. I wanted to bargain with the guy, but no bargain available. I said that it was illegal to change your prices from your store in real time. He got furious took the records off the counter and told me to not come back unless I got rich. I was in complete shock. I had hard earned cash that I wanted to buy records with, yet he won't see me again. You can do this for yourself, but later that day I typed in "Coffee & Vinyl Discogs" on google to find his Discogs store. Oh man his prices are almost always the most expensive. He lost the plot, He's got an appetite for money full of greed and craving for cash. It's a shame. I really hope he turns around some day and looks at his vinyl to see music instead of dollar signs. This is a fair warning about this place. Granted, they have a massive collection of vinyl and also serve ok coffee. Prices are on the high side but that should not always be a dealbreaker. And the owner tries to upsell and is kind of arrogant/unfriendly. My main gripe with this store however is that they sell unofficial records. Last time I was in the store I checked the Tool section, found a version of Aenima and of Lateralus that I thought had never been officially released, checked discogs, and bingo... a bootleg in my hands. Also, upon archiving my vinyl collection on Discogs I discovered that this dude has sold me unofficial copies of Ill Communication by Beastie Boys and Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth. I already knew my copies of those sounded like garbage. Now I know why. Therefore, my advice to all vinyl lovers out there is: if you are ever in Antwerp and want to buy some records, avoid this store AT ALL COST. There are far better record stores in Antwerp, such as Fat Cat records. Heck, I would rather go to Fnac than to this place read more

The coffee was great, the vinyl not so; all the records seem to be in random order and they have plastic boxes full of them but not customer friendly; you have to lift and open boxes to see what they have without any indication of what could be in there. When we asked the owner about a record he had to search the system- if I had a record store I would know every LP in there, even if it was not my exact taste in music. So coffee priority, vinyl not so. Such a shame, for such a beautiful place so well known. read more

Good atmosphere, employees are really nice & friendly. You have a great choice: coffee, chocolat, tea ... (I like their coffee with a lot of cream ;-)) Good place for having a drink and listen a good music. read more
