My friend and I both ordered the quiche. It was a spinach and mushroom quiche. It came with a small salad. The food was delicious. The quiche was made with a "crust" of cheddar cheese which made it really good with no added carbs. The salad was simple but tasty. Service was awesome. The price was good. Made a visit to Mt. I've walked past the place many times.Always crowded when open,didn't realize there's a whole " inside" to the place.I thought it was a order at the counter and sit outside at one of the 4-6 small tables. Since it's " Downtown " Mt.Dora,it's going to be expensive tourist fodder.Well it is pricey,but it is also good and the staff is great. My realtor engaged a company to send monthly gifts of local businesses monthly.It's a fabulous program and so far I've got to experience a few local places that I might never have given a thought to otherwise. So with this I get something free from a different local business every month. This month the free gift was a breakfast sammich at Cody's. I got a build your own English muffin,egg,cheese,sausage affair. It can with a small side of fresh fruit. It looked small but was surprisingly filling and very tasty. Don't be in a rush here though because everything is made to order,but it's such a pleasant environment,you'll just want to soak up the ambiance. While it's not too likely I will return soon (Tourist Mt Dora prices),it's a great option if I have company from out of town that I want to show the charm of the town and Cody's is a great way to start that day off. read more

The host / runner with the man bun was very aggressive and rude. We came in at 10:35 for breakfast which they stop serving at 11. We were a larger group and seemed very stressed and unable figure out how to seat us how to take our orders or how to get our food out. They refused to make any breakfast which they still serve for 25 minutes, and there is no one to else coming in there to order lunch, which is kinda fine got to switch over sometime but was just very rude Dana angry to everyone. Wouldn't put family members onto different checks as requested, and from the first sand which served to the last sand which was probably 40 minutes. I had the chicken salad which was delish and served on a field greens salad with cucumber, tomato, yellow pepper strips, and red onion. I selected the house made honey garlic dressing which was sooo good. Only thing I would add is a piece of bread or a cracker, but that's me. Everyone was helpful and nice. What an amazing little breakfast spot. Our sandwiches were very tasty. We were pleasantly surprised. Our breakfast was comped from our Bed and Breakfast because they were not cooking due to Covid. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because I went inside to make sure we were good with our check before leaving and I ran into NORM, the owner, apparently he was in a horrible mood and was very UNPLEASANT to say the least. Cody's On 4th is an awesome little restaurant in Mount Dora. The decor is warm and relaxing and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I ordered the Hangover breakfast sandwich. It was made with egg, sausage, pepper jack cheese and thinly sliced banana peppers. This is served on an asiago bagel. Delicious!!!!! The thinly sliced banana peppers made the flavors pop. The combination of flavors was wonder. ($6.50) It comes with a fruit cup as a side. The fruit was very fresh and a delightful addition to our breakfast. We also ordered chocolate lattes and they were perfect. The coffee was strong with a light taste of chocolate. read more

The waitress was incredibly kind. The food was OK. I didn't appreciate that they were not wearing face masks and the long brown hair we found in our salad makes Me think they also dont wear hair nets. I would have said something but who I was with didn't want to. Masks are not political. Its a safety measure. Its sanitary. Its being kind, courteous and respectful. Stopped to pick up lunch on the way to a boat tour on Lake Dora. The staff were really friendly and it's a cute spot. We ordered two different kind of quiches and a chicken salad wrap and were disappointed in all of them. The wrap was extremely dry and the quiche was really heavy and thick. I was shocked at the price as well. We were in a hurry so didn't have time to look up options beforehand but I would hope there are better stops for a quite bite. read more

Had a decent breakfast (tomato basil quiche for me, cheese grit casserole for him), paired with fresh fruit cups and bacon. The quiche was excellent, freah fruit cup great! The cheese grit casserole was dry and a little bland, the bacon was thin and seemed to have been microwaved. Highly recommend the fresh daily quiche and fruit cup! I would steer clear of the bacon unless you desperately needed it with your breakfast. read more

What a lovely surprise this little spot is. Very simple inside, we weren't sure what to expect when we dashed in from the rain. Amazing and quick spot for a yummy breakfast! The family loved the decor and cozy vibes. The lady serving us who is blonde was sooo sweet and kind. The only reason I took off one star was because my mom had to go to the bathroom and was waiting in line and when someone came out of the bathroom the other lady who works there with brown hair just pushed past my mom and ran in the bathroom and closed the door!! Not a lot of breakfast places showed up on YELP in Mount Dora, so I definitely wanted to check this one out. Missed breakfast, but got there for lunch. Quaint interior. Well lit and clean. Waitress was very friendly. I ordered the Spinach Quiche and house salad and my wife ordered The Cuban. It was a little pricey, in that with the addition of two ice teas we were out the door with tip for $30. They provided a "to go" cup of ice tea for both of us on this hot day which was nice. Stopped here after running the Mt Dora half marathon...well I only did the 5k but still...we were hungry!!! The service was meh, not very attentive since the place was packed and one of the few restaurants that was opened so there weren't many options. Most of us ordered some type of breakfast sandwich, either built your own with choice of ingredients or their specialty called the "hangover", it took ridiculously long to get our order, possibly waited about 30ish or more minutes...for a sandwich? Was hoping it would be the best breakfast sandwich ever crafted but it was not. Not sure if the crowd caused such great delay but we were not impressed with the service nor taste of what we ordered. A friend thought to order take out for her spouse but they had informed it would take at least 30 minutes to prepare...slowest sandwich cooks Ive ever met. 2 stars for having food and trying. read more

I don't know how this place gets four stars. We went there for lunch and a tuna fish sandwich sandwich on white bread with a 1 oz bag of chips was $12.00! To top that off, the tuna fish was dry. I got the BLTT wrap, which was good except for the fact that both myself and my husband asked for them to put mayonnaise on both sandwiches, which they didn't. When I asked for mayo, I was given two small to go type packages, which were impossible to open, so we had to ask for scissors. My side of pasta salad was about two tablespoons full. Although it was very good, it was not a $12.00 lunch. We will not be returning. read more

Terrible place, gave this place a try after always going to One flight Up around the corner. Should have stuck with what is good. I live nearby and thought we would try a new place. Terrible service, the blonde waitress barely even talked to us, we ordered a bagel and a oatmeal..it took 10 minutes. When I go to one flight up people are always nice there and talk to you, you get your stuff in the right amount time. Would never go back to this place again. They are very relaxed and slow here...if you are hungry you will be waiting. read more
