I'm in the process of moving from Michigan to Palmyra Pa. Since I've been satisfied with State Farm insurance I wanted to transfer my coverage from Michigan. After speaking to several State Farm agents I began to think I would need to revise my plan. It wasnt possible to speak directly to an agent and was instead being "handled" by their office staff. I was put off by the indifference and apathy I was met. Kody was my last call before changing my plan. Miracle of miracles Kody is actually a human being and not a robot. She made my transfer happen without all of the hassle and delays of the other agencies She was very competent, efficient and made my transfer happen within hours instead of days or weeks. Thank you Kody read more

History

Established in 2018.

The Cody Hershey State Farm Agency opened on September 1st, 2018. The office has been remodeled and transformed into a comfortable welcoming environment.

Meet the Business Owner: Cody H.

Cody Hershey worked as a Financial Planner in Cincinnati, OH for 5+ years and moved to Pennsylvania in 2015. Cody continued her career in the insurance industry with other auto and home insurers to find that her values to not match theirs. That is when she joined State Farm as a Team Member in Elizabethtown, PA. State Farm values their customers and that is exactly what she wanted to be a part of. After falling in love with the company, Cody decided that she wanted to open her own Agency and begin her own legacy with State Farm. In September of 2018, the Cody Hershey State Farm Agency opened its doors and began providing extraordinary service to our customers. Our goal is to ensure that every experience with State Farm is a great one, whether you are just starting your policies with us or going through the claims process after a loss. Our office lives by the State Farm motto, "Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is there."

We have been long-term clients of Wagner Insurance Agency (Hummelstown PA)/Erie Insurance Company…read more A few weeks ago, our teenage daughter was involved in a no-fault collision. During this experience, we realized why we are so appreciative of Wagner/Erie. First, our agent (Dale) was so compassionate, understanding, and responsive. Second, our assigned claims agent (Jessica) was amazingly empathetic, caring, and so quick to respond. Finally, our adjuster (Ramona) was so quick to respond and notify us of the status, next steps, and paperwork needed that we were completely flabbergasted. In fact, I called the company where the car was towed to inform them that sometime in the next week or so an adjuster would be contacting them and they informed me she had already been there and completed the review-- the same day! Wagner and Erie made the whole terrifying process (an accident involving our teen two hours from our home) a smooth and expeditious process and were so calm and collected that it eased our anxieties and worries. We now know why we have kept Wagner and Erie for 33 years-- yes, since I was 16! We are grateful that we do not need to "cash in" on our insurance frequently, but, when we do, we know they are there for us. There are lots of advertisements on the TV for all kinds of insurance companies, but, I wouldn't consider trading the relationship we have with our insurance company for another one. We are fortunate to have the benefits of a large company, with the personal feel of a small family. Thank you Wagner Insurance and Erie Insurance!

12/13/2018: I met Cody today for 1st time after several phone calls regarding coaxing my homeowners ins. bus. back after I changed companies in "15". Her "Due Diligence" in checking my options has been beyond compare! She has gotten me better home coverage for minimally more while by bundling my auto she has saved me almost $400.00 yearly on it with much better coverage. Professional and personable I have "A Friend With State Farm". Jim M. Middletown, pa. read more
