This time I came in with shoulder pain and limited mobility of the arm. Matt O'Neil (the Boss) is often training students at this location. This time he suggested that my course of therapy be done by one of his students Roadhouse (nee Dalton). I was naturally leary of putting my body in the hands of a young student. Roadhouse was extremely knowledgeable, professional, talented and did something at times uncommon in young people and the medical field, he listened to his patients before each appointment and adjusted therapy. Unfortunately Roadhouse's internship was time limited. So the Elf (nee Reagan) stepped up to the plate. She too was extremely knowledgeable, professional, talented and listened ( but a bit vertically challenged than most). Jess (affectionately called Titanium) filled in once and provided her professional expertise with caring and good humor I have been to several PT providers in the last (almost 70 years) and this is the first place that didn't shuffle you around to different therapists every visit and provide the same treatments every time you visited. They take their jobs and profession very seriously but make it fun to be there (yes PT can be fun). You wanted to go back for your next appointment. You can see the bond formed when you see patients graduating ( being discharged from their course of treatment). You will see hugs patient to therapists. Welcome Relief is a little gem of a place I found through Groupon actually. My Mother and I had…read morepurchased a deal for massages back in 2012 and the rest is history. The owner, Jennifer, has done a wonderful job in making us loyal return clients. While I have never had a massage with Jen before, I have had one with Jessica (who sadly is no longer working there) and it has been nothing but stellar each and every time. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the talent Welcome Relief has to offer now, however! When you walk in, the air smells like essential oils and bliss. While the business itself is small (I do know that they are planning on expanding or re-locating) it's a perfectly intimate fit for anyone. The decor is simple yet relaxing and the music really sets the tone for your massage. I do go to other places for different massages (mud-wraps, salt scrubs, etc), but Welcome Relief is the ONLY place I would recommend for excellence every time in basic and advanced technique massages.
