Ok, I admit it.
I REALLY wanted to get a manicure. In Germany. Where they don't value the silliness of cheap weekly manicures by super efficient and talented women from Asia. I was truly going to try the whole "consume less," but holy hell my nails looked so bad no one would even pick me up as a hitchhiker.
I thought I could sneak one over.
I should've walked right out when I almost fainted due to the smell of toxic fumes.
I was WRONG. Coco Nails is subpar. So called "American-style" nail salon. Avoid it, its worth just going to a German salon that is going to take a bit longer and cost a bit more. The end result will be better and you won't leave with nail fungus (deargodpleasedontletmegetnailfungus).
The cons:
*price: 15 euro for a manicure I could do myself.
*cleanliness: iffy, at best.
*color selection: probably the worst I've seen. Orange, purple, random colors it looked like people left over? Really strange. All crusty and all pretty dated and/or crazy.
It seems they probably specialize more in the gel/acrylic nails as that's what all the ladies in there were getting. I don't roll that way, just needed a basic. Which was...extremely basic. No base coat, no top coat, one quick once-over with the cuticle trimmers.
I can't vouch for it, unfortunately. And even more unfortunately...my nails don't look a whole lot better than when I started! read more
