From the outside, the shop looks well cared for. However, inside it's a bit of a mess. Nonetheless, it has some interesting finds like the paintings on the wall, the glittering pendants and the vast array of chinaware. The items in this shop remind me of stuff you would find at a garage sale, meaning that for the most part there are a lot of knick knacks. Case in point: there are two old period dresses that are musty and unfashionable. I suppose someone might want them if they were putting on a Jane Austen play. There is also a frightening diorama of three little dolls in the bathroom. The whole scene suggests that these figures are cursed. All in all, this antique shop sells a mixture of beautiful and odd wares.

I recently visited this shop on a trip to Galway and found it to be a great store. The ambience of…read morethe store is not to be missed, and it even had a genuine cash register from the turn of the century, still in working order. The man working there at the time was able to tell us all about the history of this piece, and of the antique items in the cases, which was very interesting and helpful. The store is full of interesting pieces, and all within reasonable prices. We had no trouble with trying on pieces of jewellery, and were not rushed in any way. We were given all the attention we needed and got to take photos of the jewellery as well as try it on to see what suited the best. When I had chosen a locket, the man told me a couple of tricks for working with Photoshop to get the perfect size and shape photo to fit the locket. He even offered to do it himself for me, and printed a photo there and then for me, and put it in the locket too. I can't say enough about how friendly and professional this man was, and the shop in general. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Galway.

I found a lovely wool wrap here for a really decent price that was made in Italy. Too bad we were here just before closing - I probably would have found more gift items here if I had more time. They would probably do well to stay open at least until sunset on the weekends as tons of people were still out and about shopping when we left.

I began getting anxious that I wouldn't be able to replace it if it ever wore out, and one of my friends loved it and wanted one for herself, so I contacted them via Facebook to see if they could ship to Chicago. I was AMAZED at how lovely their response was. I dealt with Saffron over FB, and she sent me photos of the wallet colors they had in stock, figured out how much my total purchase would be including shipping and offered a few different methods to pay. I just received the wallets today, and they're amazing. Twice as Nice is amazing. Great experience, and I hope to visit the store in person again soon to see what new awesomeness they have in stock.
