We started off our long weekend with a round of golf at Crumlin Creek. Booking online was very easy…read moreand they have lots of great deals. Because it was Friday, we got the Dozen and Dine deal. $20 for 12 holes and dinner afterwards. Yes, you read right, this place is a 12 hole golf course. It took 2.5 hours to finish the round for 4 people, walking. This course has the golf boards available. It's basically a scooter you stand on and ride, while your golf bag hangs out on the front. Kind of cool but we passed on using these. It's about $15 to get one. The course itself does need a lot of work. The driving range is set up so the artificial tees are behind the regular tee area, just a bit off to the side. So if you have a serious aiming-to-the-right problem (like I do) be aware. The greens were quite sandy and there were some spots along the course that had a lot of patchy sandy areas. The grass is very rough and sparse in spots. Being literally next door to the London International Airport, we weren't really bothered by planes overhead but there wasn't too many going in and out at the time. For dinner we were offered the typical golf course fare, hot dogs, burgers, sausages, fries, onion rings, salad. We were all quite happy with our selections. The sausages were great and the fries were good. I'd give the course itself a 2 star but the convenience factor of booking online, 12 holes, and the price and dinner, bumps up this review to a 3.

As the father of a new golfer it's difficult to imagine a better beginner course than Crumlin…read moreCreek. Not only is it only 12 holes, but each green features a regular hole and a larger one - which, while my son was too proud to actually use I thought was a great thing to offer. It's never been too busy when we've been there - a handful of times - which makes it more relaxed for a new golfer without the pressure of having to make people behind you wait. The course might be too easy for the experienced golfer but does offer a few challenging shots throughout. I can say that I've been pleasantly surprised but how reasonable the prices are every time I go. We've yet to try the golf hover board things but do hope to do so this season. Be advised the conditions can vary greatly but all-in-all in offers a few hours of fun for the price of only a buck or two per hole. It's a pretty good deal. The food? On the few times I've tried it has all been good and once again a good value. The offer quite a few different deals throughout the week so it is certainly worth checking out before you book a tee time. My favourite part is that the atmosphere is very relaxed and allows for some fun, some sun and a great way to pass some time. FORE!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THIS FACILITY AS A BOOKED VENUE First off…read more-- this is not about the golf course, but a review of this facility for hosting a wedding. Folks - if you are looking for a venue -- look no further. These folks do a great job for venue catering. They have a wonderful room in the back that overlooks the 18th hole - and holds about 80-100 people quite easily. They had the ceremony on a section of the property away from the main clubhouse (it was private and very pretty). I must say it was a bit difficult to hear since there is a lot of road noise due to lots more construction along Sunningdale, but still very nice. The clubhouse? Wonderful room we had the cocktail reception in! Huge fireplace with nice comfortable wing back chairs and comfy sofas with still lots of room to mingle. The staff came around with all kinds of appetizers (lamb chops, oyster, shrimp skewers, and mini beef wellington. They were all wonderful and went down wonderfully with champagne! The meal included a wonderful salad with citrus segments, and then a choice of chicken stuffed with veg and goat cheese or a filet mignon in a wonderful sauce. The dessert plate had a mini-trio of creme brulee, brownie and strawberry cheesecake on it. The staff checked in on us regularly and did fireworks for the bride and groom later in the night. What a great evening! So - if you want a memorable wedding day -- look no further than Sunningdale Golf and Country club!

I organized an hour long visit which was easy to set up over the phone. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the owner. We had another employee show us what to do, and he watched and kept score while we played a few games, cheering us on and giving us tips as we went. Never once did we feel out of place or silly, which is nice when you are doing something so new. The concept is fairly quite easy to grasp once you find your sweet spot in your throw. It is challenging but not impossible. It is also great to see a vast array of people having fun. The girls have just as much fun as the boys and the old can definitely keep up with the young. This is a great new way to get off the couch and have some fun, whether its with a team of co-workers, or your closest friends. Currently they only take cash so keep that in mind if you go for a throw!

The kids definitely had a blast splashing around in the pool, shooting targets in archery, balancing on the high ropes, sculpting in pottery, challenging themselves in wheelchair basketball and sledge hockey, and singing around the campfire. The "cabins" were all inclusive with communal showers, bathrooms, and sinks. Air conditioning was fully functional and there was a lounge area in each cabin complete with sofas and tables. In the staff cabin, there was also a fridge, freezer, and stove top in the kitchen along with a fireplace and TV in the living room. There was also a balcony connected to the living room and hammocks for relaxing during leisure time.

The prosciutto and pear pizza was delicious, and the bleu cheese wasn't too overpowering. The kids chicken and fries was a perfect size and tasty. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars was their Appetizer menu - it was seriously lacking (bread and butter, ribs, & charcuterie - were the only options). It would have been nice to have been able to order some nice shareables for the table with drinks while taking in the view rather than having to order pizzas or large dinner portions.

This 8oz steak did not come with potatoes or vegetables and therefore when you're eating dinner at 8:45pm and paying that price you eat it no matter how bad it is. The waitress took our concerns to the kitchen who passed it off as an oddly salty piece of meat - there was prosciutto on my pizza and it wasn't any where close to as salty as the ribeye. At no point did the manager come to the table to express his concern. Unfortunately we will not recommend this restaurant to friends or family and will not come back.
