They forgot that my son was outside and left him out there alone. No one knew where he was and no one knew how long he had been out there for. No one even seemed to notice my child was missing until a teacher grew concerned as well (not my sons teacher mind you). She found him outside, alone and crying. He will not be returning to Cobb Street and I encourage people to really think about sending their kids there. They do not have security cameras outside, the upper area play yard for older kids is never closed off and there are concrete stairs he could have gone up and gotten seriously hurt and the fencing would be easy to hop over to take a child if left alone. What upset me most is that if I did not arrive when I did, no one would have noticed at all that a child was missing and he could have gotten seriously hurt, wandered off or kidnapped and no one would have known until I got there. No one even realized a child was missing until I arrived and checked the Piazza and his room, and only 1 teacher looked. I still can NOT understand how this happened. read more

Leaving 3 stars for now... The director April is amazing and very helpful but I've had some concerns with some of the staff. I won't name drop but I noticed at least 3 teachers that don't seem to LOVE kids. I love kids and so I know what it looks like when you're watching kids and you're doing it out of neccesity or love for children. There are 2 teachers that I really adore and they are sweet and love kids as it shows but one of them just left :( I hope she is replaced with someone great. She always gave me updated on Ava and made sure to comfort her with her tough first into daycare at age 2 1/2. I fully support their program they have for the kids and it is nice and secure there. The playground is plentiful and they do get lesrning and play all in a day! read more

When my 1 year old attended Cobb Street in 2013 I caught the woman in charge of his room (Bonnie) abusing him and leaving the children unattended in the room all by themselves. I noticed a bruise on my baby after the first day and I asked Bonnie about it and she lied and said it could have happened while he was sleeping. REALLY?? The day I caught her, she was grabbing him in the same spot that I found bruises. On top of that she lied and told me he was eating his food and when I looked in his lunch box he hadn't eaten anything. Was she planning to throw it away before I saw it?? I reported her and took my son out of that place after only 4 days. She was fired but I feel that not enough was done to prevent this monster from hurting other children. I hope I never see that woman on the street. This place is expensive for the area and looks nice on the outside but looks can be deceiving! They complained that my child wouldn't sleep during nap time (of course my kid would have some time adjusting the first week in childcare) and my baby had a case of PTSD after the physical abuse. He wouldn't let anyone except for me get near him. I am so grateful his behavior returned to how it was before and he has overcome this. Parents, keep a close eye on your kids at Cobb school since obviously no one else will. read more

We love the school's commitment to the arts, Spanish language, science, technology and community, in addition to the fundamentals. Wonderful place for children! The school is pre k through 8th grade. The classrooms provide a supportive family like environment. Students are engaged in music, art, drama, computers and Spanish classes throughout the entire school year. Offsite PE is another great benefit of this school. Additionally the staff create many hands on learning experiences for kids with many field great field trips. Small class sizes too!! read more

Our daughter has been in Cobb School Childcare since she was 1 year old. We have been fortunate to have staff there who took care of our daughter's needs since she has food allergies and has very sensitive skin. All the teachers she was able to get (Gloria, Theresa Joe, Donell, Vicky, Michelle, Ms. April, etc), has been very kind and helpful. Our daughter attended Cobb School: Pre-K, and we love Ms. Sue (with Ms. Jessica). She was able to enhance our daughter's love for learning while she was still very young. She is a great teacher for both young and seasoned minds. Now our daughter is with Ms. Jessica in Kindergarten and we love her too! She goes above and beyond to give our daughter and all her students the knowledge and care they need. The always look forward to all the activities they have each year (Nights of the Arts, Spring Play, etc). We are happy they have PE, Arts, Music and Spanish. Learning should be a wholistic process. read more

We have had our two year old in Cobb Discovery Childcare for over a year. We receive daily written reports on his activities, nap, food, and diaper schedule. Everybody there (including teachers in other classes) knows our son's name and genuinely cares about him. Our son loves being there and the activities they have for him. We are thrilled with the socialization he is getting and early learning/instruction he is receiving. We are scheduled to have our baby join him later in the year, and have no concerns about having both of them in Cobb for years to come. read more
