We purchased four housings in early October and had them installed in our new kitchen ceiling. Two trims were not available however we were told they were on order from Toronto. Long story short, we had no customer service from Anne, she would not return our calls as to where the trims were or when they would arrive. Just completely ignored us by not calling or making up stories when we called her. I finally spoke to another sales person on December 19th and found that the trims were only now being manufactured in China and would not arrive until the new year. In the meantime our kitchen ceiling was looking as it does in the photo. Well, Leigh R (if you are still with/part owner of Norburn, and or Robinson Lighting, if you are associated with Norburn, I think that you should take a closer look at some of the reviews and take them more seriously. That's what we (myself, partner, sister and brother in law) have been doing the past 9 months building a brand new home. We had no idea what we didn't know - especially when it came to lighting fixtures both inside and outside. We had gone to a few stores in Surrey which had very little service and a slim selection. Then we found S&N. We met with one of their sales reps Kulvinder who started by suggesting a site consult to get to know our space, learn our design preferences, and to help us with a proper count of what we needed. Who knew lights come in different colours haha. He was so helpful and patient (dealing with 4 emotionally charged people) and gave us suggestions for what would actually fit and look good in our space. There was so much education around things to consider when making choices like LED or bulb, aesthetic and measurement for the walls etc. We ended up purchasing all of our lighting at S&N, and even found some beautiful legrand switches and plugs to really modernize our home. Any inspiration photos I found on pinterest or instagram Kulvinder found me the same or similar through their suppliers. They truly sell and work with integrity at S&N, not once did I feel like they were trying to upsell me, and they really had our best interest in mind. We asked a million and one questions and at all hours all days. We had last minute requests and purchases that we had to make because that's the joy of construction and Kulvinder always accommodated us. I am beyond grateful for this experience and would recommend S&N in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favour and go see Kulvinder for a one-stop shop experience.

The light fixture I had installed above my island was missing hard to find pieces. I went to Maple Ridge Lighting to see if they had the parts I needed. I spoke with an employee named Scott and he was EXTREMELY helpful. He didn't have the parts I needed right then but he took down my number and called me an hour later to let me know they had them waiting for me. Not only was he prompt and courteous but he also did not charge me for the replacement parts. I would recommend Maple Ridge Lighting to anyone and everyone. The bulb I had brought in for replacement couldn't be replaced for no apparent reason. Staff didn't really answer any questions as to why or where i could go. All of this being after they gave me the wrong one (I brought mine in and she didn't even check the bulbs male end) And had so return it. After several days they had called back with a website I could buy it off. Overall not that pleasant. Will be going elsewhere next time.
