Steer Clear of this bus company at all costs!! Not only is their fleet old and in disrepair, but the owner is dishonest and does not honor the terms of his own contract. I have 25 years of tour management experience and have spent the last half of my life living on tour buses so I know what to expect. Due to shortages in the industry I was left with no choice but to lease buses from this company on several occasions this year and have been utterly disappointed each time. The buses are in terrible shape both inside and out, like they've been pulled from a scrap yard. On more than one occasion the bus arrived 2 hours late due to mechanical failures between the shop and our pickup location in Nashville (just 30mins away!). One bus had to have a battery charger mounted to the engine and we had to pull over to restart it every couple hours for the entire run to keep the bus running; their shore power cables are either burnt up or inoperable resulting in us consuming generator fuel when we could have been plugged into electricity, and that's when the generators will actually stay on! We've had TV panels and ceiling panels fall from the walls and roof and land on people's heads in transit, slide-outs that squeak so loud you can barely talk over the noise or sleep; we've had water leaking from the emergency roof hatch down through the interior lighting and we've seen evidence of mold in the bunk hallways where we have to sleep.
The biggest issue is that one of my clients had to cancel a tour 60 days prior to the start due to medical conditions within the band. Despite the company's contract allowing for a full return of the deposit if cancelled 45 days or more in advance, we have not been able to get the $15,000 deposit back and the owner has repeatedly dodged our calls and emails. After we threatened legal action he told us the money was tied up in a land deal and he could pay it by mid-November. Shady!! That date has now come and gone and we still have not heard anything from them. We have now filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office and have engaged an attorney to recoup the funds. I know tour buses are in short supply these days, but find someone other than Coach Quarters to supply your next lease vehicle or you may not even make it to the gig! read more
