And I waited three months!!!! They had the shoes for three months and only ended up fixing two of the three pairs in all that time. Every time I went in or called I got the same nonsense that clearly indicated the young guy had done nothing, ZERO, about fixing the final shoes. He even said he works for Ferragamo, that he is one of their recommended cobblers. I will see to it that changes trust me on that. Because the quality of work wasn't bad on the other shoes I decided to give them yet another chance. I resell used purses and shoes, I have been growing the business so I need a reliable cobbler, a business partner to jazz up or clean what I find. I'm not a same day kind of client, I drop off and give at least a week or in the case of my husband's shoes, three months, without complaint I might add. So I dropped off a bag of shoes, four pairs and two purses. I arrived not on the exact week later I have them but two days after that and they'd done nothing. ZERO. They'd not cleaned or polished even one shoe, and both parse remained untouched. Thus proving my theory that my husband's shoes just sat for three months ignored. It's not that they couldn't do the shoes they left unfixed, they just didn't. UNRELIABLE!!!!!! I was asked to just wait and told that they would do everything right then and there. I went shopping and ran errands for an hour and a half. When I arrived back, they had done NOTHING. AGAIN NOTHING. I guess the guy had taken all kinds of same day people in the meantime just putting mine aside. So I was again asked to wait while he laughed and sheepishly apologized and got to work. I only got the shoes back in the end. The purses had to stay another week. Care to guess what happened today when I went to pick up the purses? They were due finished on Tuesday. I called Wednesday and was told Thursday, I arrived Friday. Wanna guess? I've now had a purse there for almost three weeks to have the zipper replaced. NOTHING. They did nothing. The one to be cleaned looks like crap, like they just did it and barely so and the zippered one he pretended to have "adjusted" it but it still worked exactly the same as before, it didn't work, it was not replaced as asked three weeks prior. How one adjusts a zipper I'm not sure but I clearly asked for it to be replaced. Then he says, "if you go get a zipper I will do it on the spot, we couldn't find the color". Pretty sure it's his job to find the zipper and replace it. Then he says, "how about a black zipper?" To which I think, "how about calling your customer a week ago to ask that question and have it done on time?". Without a doubt Sam's does okay work, nothing to call the guy's downtown Toronto about, (where I will go again), but they are totally UNRELIABLE. They will never be done on time. Don't ever give them shoes you need for an event unless you are waiting and watching them do the work. You can tell they lie when they forget to do the work and they think because they are okay at their job they can get away with it, they cannot. Sam's is not worth the money but especially not worth the time I've lost. I've never written a Yelp before. I've sat in my car for a half an hour loading the app and writing this, losing more time to them, because it's important to me people know what these guys are about. They could care less about their customers. Do not take them your business. I will find another cobbler and when I do I will recommend it here. Right here on their space. N.
