Warning !!!!
My husband & I visited Coach & Horses @ Markfield at lunch time . Cheap disgusting food . Very disappointed can only think have new owners ?
Onion soup , a bowl of onions with toast , was so hot burnt our mouths, dangerous! Tasted vile .
Main course, I started to worry as starter awful, one hour later our order arrived , Chips burnt, steak vile & grisly, didn't taste of anything, had to spit out in a tissue! Onions rings burnt, as you put knife through crumbled! Peas like bullets ! Tomato sauce my husband put on his chips tastes of vinegar, cheap sauce . A couple near us asked what our food was like. I told them vile , they said the same , all burnt , advised us their Wedding Anniversary, how awful ruined first Anniversary !We all not happy! I advised the owner of everything burnt , her response, she could tell the chef, shocking , no apology. Told her not good enough giving us fatty steak , she said was the butchers fault, not the chef he wouldn't of cooked if knew , I said it was clear big lumps of fat .
Menu very poor no mention of chips in skins , advised of hand cooked chips leading us to believe regular chips poor advising .
The establishment needs to hire a chef that can cook , and better quality suppliers !
The management needs to be able to take criticism, not roll eyes when advise of the issue , very unprofessional, take on board customers comments , apologise!
Not one of us ate the food other than mushrooms £61.50 no offer of a dessert or pay a proportion of the bill, never been any where like so back street! read more
