I got stuck in Madrid after I couldn't board the plane back to the US on a Sunday because I had a severe sinus infection. I immediately went to the airport clinic and they prescribed me antibiotics. I extended my time in Madrid by 3 additional days to recover and decided that Monday to reach out to an ENT because I wanted to make sure to receive the proper care to be able to fly back that Wednesday. I didn't call the office but decided to just show up. I had a pre-written note in Spanish and gave it to the secretary at 2pm when we arrived. She told me to return at 2:30pm. I was promptly seen by the ENT who was nothing short of wonderful. He performed several tests and gave me a very detailed list of medications and a new and better antibiotics along with a specific treatment plan to ensure I was able to catch my flight that Wednesday (I had severely blocked ears and you shouldn't fly otherwise you could rupture your eardrums). I followed his treatment plan and was able to fly back home. Thank you so much for helping me! read more
