We were on a tour of Mackinac Island and the carriages pick up in front of this store so you would expect them to go out of their way to obtain tourists dollars. We walked in and were completely ignored. We had a hard time finding an extra small garment for our house sitter but this store had a few items to choose from. When I went to check out the clerk, VanDusen, according to the receipt immediately asked me to pay cash. I found this a little suspicious because he hadn't even entered anything into the register/computer. When I told him no, he acted like it was a big deal and he said he would have to reboot the system. For such a tourist driven town you would think that the customer service would be better. While the rest of our experience was amazing with the rest of the area I can only give 3 stars because of this treatment. read more
