The museum is well laid out & does provide some interesting insights into the history of the previously industrial area, but isn't overly exciting & certainly not one to go round with young children, most of whom may fail to see the attraction in ironwork &/or the many uses of iron! The museum does have a nice little café (very useful as it's next to Enginuity who don't have their own eatery), which does serve a good range of hot & cold drinks & snacks, although they are somewhat overpriced.

When the bridge was erected, in 1779, it was the first of its kind, anywhere! Quite the feat! We went on a Saturday afternoon, the weather was warm and lovely and I didn't feel claustrophobic walking around despite the presence of loads people. The walk is next to the the River Severn with lush trees and wildlife. Stunning place, really. I can't even begin to describe all the picture taking locations. I also noticed that events and activities are held year round. They offer an annual pass, too. We didn't purchase tickets to any of the 10 museums (10 museums!!!) but that might be nice to try out another time. The history of Ironbridge really fascinates me. Take a camera, you'll need it!!

Iron Bridge is a village near Telford which has the first iron bridge ever made…read more The village is beautiful, cute little cottages, B&B's, cafes and antique shops surround the river severn, beautiful greenery and friendly locals. My boyfriend and I went to Iron Bridge to see the infamous bridge and visit the museum. When we arrived we realised there are actually lots of different small museums and attractions for which you really need a full day. I would recommend this for a day trip, particularly for those with an interest in engineering. The bridge itself is very impressive and in beautiful surroundings, the only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is that the museum entry is very expensive. Just for one small attraction it costs £4, to visit them all you're looking at about £30 which seems hefty.

Just past Burford near Tenbury Wells is Burford House and Garden Cetre plenty of parking available…read morealso a pick up area if you've bought something large from the garden centre. The garden centre is well stocked with a good variety of plants and hardware. There is a lovely cafe near by but it is quite pricey. However the lawned area of the house is lovely to sit and relax and watch the ducks on the pond. In the house is a very nice shop which over looks the garden and river Teme. Burford is also home to the National Clematis Collection there is a charge to visit this side of the garden
