They were having a jazz night with a live band. We sat down, ordered drinks and enjoyed the amazing music. One of the guys from the band was probably 18, but he was a good musician. The bar crowd was a mix of 20 something year olds, tourists and randoms. They serve food, but we only had drinks. It was a little tough to pay the bill since they don't accept international cards. I would come back to try the other few nights.

Location: Located near Honduras and Godoy Cruz at the intersection of Palermo Hollywood and Palermo…read moreSoho (you decide which neighborhood it belongs to). The People: The bouncers, bartenders, and staff are all good. The Venue: - General info: A pretty good venue to come and dance. It gets a bit crowded in the general dance floor, so if you wanted a little more breathing room I would suggest getting the VIP option. Sometimes the VIP option may be a little expensive but maybe wait until 3:30am and then ask to see if you can get into the VIP are for a certain fee (probably 500 pesos which is a lot less than buying a table for the night). It has an area near the bar for people to chat and mingle, and then a big dance floor are and a separate VIP area. They have two large rooms but only one of them is open on Tuesdays. - Tuesdays: I think Tuesdays is the best day of the week to go to this club (although many would argue that it is on Wednesdays and that is a close second in my opinion). They have an offer of 250 pesos (entrance + 1 drink) which is relatively okay for a club. - Wednesdays: Wednesdays are pretty good, although there are other alternatives out there, but one cannot go wrong coming here on a Wednesday. - Saturdays: I am not the biggest fan of this club on Saturdays, not because it is not good per se, but because there are so many other options available. The good thing is that they have two large rooms open on Saturdays. Sometimes a little bit on Wednesdays and it is much smaller on Tuesdays. The Drinks: The bar are does accept credits cards but on some sides it is cash only. Drinks are a bit more pricey than other places, I'd recommend getting a bottle with friends for it to be more economical. Upshot: Overall a pretty good place to come dance the night away. I have come here in groups and sometimes alone it was a pretty good time, most times. The venue peaks between 2:30am-4:30am. I recommend Tuesdays but if you cannot, then Wednesdays.

I particularly like how the two-tiered interior gives the appearance of a four level venue, with its open atrium view between the upper and lower sections. There's a full bar with a great selection of beers on tap, bottled beer, and all kinds of distilled spirits. There's also a wine cellar with a quite a large selection of wines in the back corner. The patrons and staff I encountered here were friendly and beautiful, while remaining unpretentious. A lovely bartender promptly took my drink order as I walked in and quickly placed a delicious libation in front of me :-)

Dimly lit, dark wood bar, showing its wear, albeit only about a decade old - of course it could well have been another pub before. Perfect place to think of as a dive bar. But then you start to look at what's on offer - this is a Scotch bar for people who know their Scotch. Rumor has it that they have somewhere around 200 different labels! Unfortunately for me, I'm not a Scotch drinker, and the only beer available was Warsteiner on tap or Miller in bottle. I ordered a gin & tonic from one of the three or four gins available. Five different burgers on offer - really just different toppings available, as they're all the same burger - no fancy lamb or veggie or anything of that sort. I ordered the "Uno" sans sweet barbecue sauce. I'm not a bbq fan when it comes to burgers. Simple patty, good sized, perfectly seasoned, cooked to somewhere very slightly past medium rare. A slice of cheese, lettuce and tomato (smartly, the lettuce placed on the bottom, so it protects that bottom bun), a couple of sliced cornichons, a couple of slices of bacon, and some red onion. Steak fries, a little soft for my taste, but delicious. Herbed mayo to dip them in. The usual array of condiments in packets on the side. Done and done. Is it a great burger? No. But it's a very good burger and one I'd happily eat again at 135 pesos. And for you Scotch drinkers? This is the place.
