I'm giving this place 2 stars...only because I hear the doctors are great - but I wouldn't know…read more I did not end up going to my appointment. I'm writing this review based on my experience dealing with their staff, over the phone. Around the beginning of July, I was extrememly sick and I shouldn't have even come to work. ...by 8:30am, I was on the phone trying to find a doctor. A co-worker had referred me to Doctor Hansen. When I called, the girl was quick to say they wouldn't take a first time patient for 3 weeks. I then said I was referre. They asked by whom and then put me on hold to verify the person. Then they got back on the line and said they could get me in at 2. I went ahead and booked the 2pm. Because I felt like I was nearing my death bed, I called around to more places, trying to find an earlier time. I reached another office that could get me in at 9:30, so I took that appointment. I called Dr Hansen's office to cancel and the line was busy. I called several times and still... busy. (I can't believe that after the fact, I looked at more reviews. (it was because I was sick and it was last minute. ...I would have gone anywhere at that point) I've read more reviews at other sites with others that say they have had experienced their busy lines) ...so I went to my 9:30am appointment (at the other place). When I got out, I called Dr. Hansen's again and still...busy. So I gave up. I was sick and just wanted to get medicated and in bed. At 2:05pm, I received a call from Dr. Hansen's wondering where I was. I explained to the person what happened...and how I tried calling to cancel. She said okay and bye. ...real short. Not so unpleasant. Today, I called Dr. Hansen's to get an appointment for my son... we'll need to go in about 2-3 weeks (knowing what I've been told before). After me and the appointment setter talk for about 5 minutes, discussing what I needed...she asked my name and who I was referred by. She put me on hold. ...for 3 minutes ...to come back and say, rudely, we've marked your name in our system as denied. You were a no-show and now the doctor refuses to see you. My jaw dropped! I was like... excuse me!? ...just like that.?! I explained what had happened that day...and she said.. it was the doctor that noted your record....so it won't be changed. I told her, so if anyone misses their appointment, this is how they are treated? ...even though it was because your phone lines that I couldn't get through. I'm just glad I didn't go...especially if that is how they treat people. After reading reviews, it seems like either the doctor's have no clue that their staff is treating patients terribly, or they have poor management. ...and in my experiences, all fingers usually point to the management. Pretty sad. Pros: I've heard Dr. Hansen is a great Doctor Cons: The appointment setters are extrememly rude

My Mother recommend Dr. Hansen to me and I was able to secure an appointment. When I arrived at her…read moreoffice i had to fill out the typical new patient paperwork and provide my insurance card. I waited for around twenty minutes (not bad compared to other Doctors) to be called back. Once in the room a nurse took the typical vitals and asked a few questions about my health. Around ten minutes later Dr. Hansen arrived to examine me. She was very friendly, thorough, and listened to what I had to tell her. I plan on keeping Dr. Hansen as my family physician.

I love my doctor. I discovered her when I'm moved into Clear Lake…read more My previous doctor, Dr. Roeser in League City, was so frustrating. He was so busy that you couldn't get an appointment with three weeks notice. What they did if you needed to be seen was tell you to come in at 1 pm and wait to be "worked in," which every single time came at 4 pm on the dot! He was also was very spiteful. At the time my eye brow was pierced and I was working on the Kemah Boardwalk, which with this combo brought a constant infection. On several visits I asked how to treat it and he just stared at it disgusted and gave me prescriptions for my other problems. Dr. Siddiqi was such a breath of fresh air. You can usually get an appointment the same day! She always gets you right into the office, instead of making read an entire magazine. Oh there is a flat screen in the waiting room, but you won't be in there long to get into anything. She so quick I made it a habit of calling for an appointment when I got to work and seeing her on my lunch break, and I still had time to eat!!! Simply unheard of in a doctor. She is a DO, not just an MD, which means 300-500 additional hours of medical school. She goes the extra mile like I've never had from any other doctor. She thinks about why you have a certain problem, not just treating the symptoms. Her staff is great as well. Everyone there has a great memory for their patients and it makes it more personal. The nurse, Tina, is always very friendly and talkative. You don't get the usual going-thru-the-motions, your-just-a-file-to-me impression and impersonal treatment that you get from most nurses. There is also a lab on site, so you don't have to venture out to get things done. I have been seeing her for over five years and have gone through at least three office moves and I won't go anywhere else. I used to go straight to specialist when needed, but I go to her first to get her opinion because she really knows me and remembers all of my random problems. I have since moved to walking distance of the Houston Medical Center and I still drive the 30 minutes to see the BEST doctor.

My first visit she sat with me and asked me tons of questions about my health history. Some of the questions I've never been asked before in my life. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. After my labs, she met with me again provided me with additional supplements and a treatment of care. I could be more happy with her and her staff! I will be recommending her to anyone that will listen!

Sometimes the office is hard to get a hold of, but that in no way stops me from seeing him. I have gone for physical exams, as well as mental wellness exams and he is amazing at both. His attending is really comforting as well, I forgot her name but excellent work and recommendations. He also listens if a medication just isn't working out for you, and will recommend a different dosage or another medication entirely. Overall amazing service, I have since moved about 30 minutes away and still plan to make the drive whenever I need to see a doctor. Thank you, Dr. Salim!

I went to office and filled out 12-15 forms to re establish new paient records, Saw Lindsey Perez,…read more she was great. She said labs would take 1-2days on Tuesday, on Friday I called back to see about labs and meds, Josephine told me she tried calling me back 5 or 6 times but it was a non working number, she repeated back a number from 12yrs ago, I explained my new number was on all my new paient paperwork, then she said Lindsey said that I needed to come in and do labs so that I could get on new meds, I explained I had done all labs on my Tuesdays visit. Josephine then stated we have alot of new people here. Then said "we a doing the best with what we have" I started feeling very put out. So I called back and left a message with Jazmine asking Lindsey to call me. This am i received a call from Jazmine saying Lindsey left her a message late on Friday regarding my call, and Lindsey said I would need to wait on Labs. I explained after all of that, My call was not regarding labs, she replied oh thats what Lindsey assumed thats why she didnt reach out. Well this is scary, the staff has thier own agenda, and blocks calls, doesnt do due dillegence, doesnt know phone numbers , doesnt know wether or nor labs have been already completed, assume what calls are about and I feel very unsure about this whole expierence. I always really liked Dr. Salim but his staff leaves something to be desired.

I find that Utmb can be a hostage type healthcare system. What I mean is even though your insurance…read morelike mine does not require you to have any type of referrals to go to a doctor regardless, as long as they take your insurance that's all you need Utmb requires you must have a referral before going to the doctors and they try to brainwash you into saying no your insurance says you have to do this without even knowing who you are this happened to me before I even became a part of UTMB I was already being told I must have a referral before seeing the doctors. Maybe with other insurance companies it might be true but with my type of insurance all I have to do is pick up the phone and make an appointment regardless what network it's in Utmb HCA or any others . Please be careful when someone tells you this that you have to have a referral. Check your insurance. . Don't be held hostage. You may find better doctors outside the Utmb net work. Even when I stayed in the hospital, it was not that great. They have gone downhill when I refer you to Utmb sure it's a hospital, but check your resources and check ahead of time before you have an emergency, but will be the best hospital for you with your insurance. I would also refer you to Clear Lake. They have really come up in the last five or more years. I go where your heart lead you don't stay at hostage someplace because they say you have to. Something telling you somethings off get a second opinion from a complete different hospital system physicians hospital are also good if that's near you. St. Luke's is excellent there are so many good hospitals out there but your gut is telling you to search and somethings up do yourself a favor and a peace of mind look elsewhere just for confirmation I did, and I don't regret it. I'm FYI if you are going to stay at Utmb go to the lake city location it's a newer hospital food used to be good but it's gone downhill. If you're visiting a patient, please bring your food in to the hospital. Don't try to buy from the hospital. Their food is not that great in the cafeteria and good luck trying to hit the hours of the coffee shop. Utmb for me personally, I feel they have a lot of room for improve. That's me everybody has their own opinions and that's all mine is Their parking is a total nightmare even with the garage the other day it was packed full all the way to the top parking lot outside the garage. It's impossible to find a parking spot. There is not enough handicaps parkings. On the bright side, they have an excellent my chart while I was sitting in the doctors office I received my results. They are fast and quick I hope and pray that they're accurate and not just built on speed.. I give them a three out of five stars
