The staff is friendly and, again speaking medically, they know what to suggest based on your needs. The pricing in Michigan is much lower than Illinois. Medical patients pay no tax on the medical side. Anything on the recreational side, I did have to pay sales tax on. But it was low. Too bad Michigan is a distant drive for us. I certainly ended up saving money, even considering the drive. For the record, we went to Michigan to visit friends. Stopping here was a side trip.

I was staying in Spring Lake, so it wasn't too far a drive. Just by coincidence, I was introduced to the owner, Dan, at another local eatery, and his welcoming demeanor and interest in my friend's and my favorite cigars made this spot a MUST VISIT. My adventure partner and I finally made it there on a Friday night. It's located in a building hosting a variety of gastropubs. When you first walk in you see a well stocked humidor. Enter further and you'll have a choice of leather chairs and couches to pub table seating. There's even a card game table for exciting games of dominoes or cards. The patrons are friendly and I made some great connections with fellow traveling leaf lovers. The music in and the background and the strategically placed wide screen tvs offer entertainment without being too loud, so you can enjoy conversation. They do not serve food or alcohol but you can BYOB and order eats from the restaurants that are less than 50 steps away. Go check it out and let Dan know you saw it here on yelp...
