Took some clothes in to sell and they refused all of them. A lot was brand new. The rest clean and in better shape than what they were selling. I purge every season. The lady that checked them acted like I'd done something wrong. Attitude. I don't get it and will not be back. read more

The choice in clothes and prices to buy are great and very reasonable. I am updating my review because i went in there last week and the employees are extremely rude and toxic . The environment here is so dark and negative. The black headed lady frowns so much she had extreme frown lines . She fussed at a customer for not reading the sign smaller than a dollar on the wall . Im not sure why a lady or person could be so unhappy. The woman taking the clothes was extremely hard to converse with and even asking a question was hard to do. Im not sure why this place has such a toxic feel to it . Anyways , they have a cool clothes and shoes . Otherwise im not sure what the deal is with the people. If i had advice for shoppers . Just go in , buy what you need and dont ask any questions. Sell your stuff somewhere else cause they seem like they dont even want to be there let a lone do their job . read more

Great buying experience! The store offers men's and ladies clothes. Everything is well organized by size and type of clothing, clearly priced and clean. Very nice consignment shop. There is a special rack in both men's and ladies for TN apparel. We walked out with a stuffed bag of great finds! read more

Took some clothes in, some even had tags. They didn't take any. Not that big of a deal I get it, it's a business but the women going through my things was rude and acted bothered that I was there. I thought Plato's closet was bad but this place lost all my respect with the nasty attitude. She should probably find a job she's happier at. read more

I'm a semi-regular customer at the Clothesline and I keep returning for several reasons. 1) the selection of clothing is quite ample. There's plenty of each type of clothing with a wide variety of sizes. The clothing I have purchased from there has been good to very good quality; from gently worn to new with tags. Prices are very reasonable for a consignment shop. You shouldn't have any issue with finding whatever you are looking for. Shoes, jeans, tops, shawls, dresses and skirts *swoon*, and evening gowns... Big variety! 2) The staff are quite helpful and friendly. I've never had an issue with the staff being rude. Being a crossdresser, there are plenty of opportunities for that to occur, but thankfully- they are exceedingly pleasant to deal with. I would imagine that they enjoy working there, because unlike many other clothing stores- they stay put. There is very little staff turnover, and that should say something. 3) the owner is a sweet woman who loves what she does, and donates portions of her sales to the animal shelters and supporting a young girl who is ill. 4). They have a decent sized men's section upstairs also with a good selection of clothing, but since that's not my desired clothing choices, I can't attest beyond that. 5) I've purchased hundreds of dollars worth of clothes from here, and I'm happy with what I've bought, price-wise and quality-wise. 6) I have *not* attempted to sell any clothing here, so I can't attest for that side of the store, good or bad. Cons: 1). Like most consignment shops, there is a tendency for the selection to get stale and not turn over quickly. This happens almost everywhere, esp if you're doing large volumes of clothing. 2) For reasons, the owner is unable to continue with the heavily-discounted sales that they held on Sundays a couple of doors down. The prices looked phenomenal, and it's sad it's been discontinued. Overall-. I'm happy with this store; for reasons of pricing, selection, and general employee attitude. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. I drove 30 min across town to sell some clothes here, and I was treated like I had done something wrong. First off, I wasn't aware I couldn't sell clothes on Mondays so a lady very rudely said, "We don't buy clothes on Mondays." Then to top it off. She looked at the clock and said, "We also don't buy clothes after 5." I got there at 5:10. I am not a regular customer here, so I will never come back to this business. I'm very disappointed in the way they conduct business. I'm not upset that they didn't let me sell my clothes. I'm upset at the way they treated me. I hope this store improves its customer service. read more

The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. I had been waiting at the register to check out for about 5 minutes. She finally came and never said a word to me, rang me up and practically threw the bag at me. I said Thank you and she rolled her eyes at me. I absolutely hated the way the employees made me feel while in the store. I had taken some of my clothes there to sell, all name brand with tags still on them, smoke free, pet free, and waited around the store for around 45 minutes for them to decide the couldn't use anything. I turned around and took my bags to Plato's and they took every single item. Will stick to Plato's from now on. read more

The girl behind the counter doing the buying was very rude. I watched as she rolled her eyes and mocked customers they left her. She sighed at my questions as if I was wasting her time. I had a bag of high end anthropologie clothes from last season and they yet again took nothing. Will stick to Plato's. read more

Staff is always helpful. Store is always very busy buying and selling clothes. Great place to pick up a designer purse. They carry mens clothes as well. Womens sizes range from 00 to plus size 28. read more

The staff always looks like they wish you didn't come in. They have bad attitudes. Clothes aren't great, A lot of low quality clothes( American eagle, Hollister. Old navy) I guess if you are 14 or dress like one its ok. read more

Definetely one of the best consignment shops around for a wide variety of clothes. But, please note they do close at 6 PM not 7. We drove 30 minutes and was disappointed that we only had thirty minutes to shop. read more

Some of the girls that work in there are really rude and there very picky when you take clothes in their to sell. ive took brand name clothes in there that were really nice and them not take not one thing, and then when I would look round in the store some of my clothes that I was trying to sell looked better than the stuff they had. Good store, great prices for buying. Selling is okay, but they don't take great stuff sometimes even if it's new and nice. Their staff is horrible except for a few so I suggest Plato's for selling even though you make a little less. read more
