We met Stefano Bollo , the owner of Cloister Inn, on the recommendation of a friend who went on a tour of Naples with him as part of a cruise that stopped in Naples. We went to Stefano's brand new Inn as part of our tour and loved it. it is the height of elegant Italian design and located in a lovely clean building in the heart of the ancient part of Naples. Stefano is the best of hosts and a wonderful guide. His knowledge of history is encyclopedic and he conveys the total love and joy he has for Italy and Naples. We stopped for pizza together and had a wonderful, fun time. On a personal note, our contact with Stefano says it all about him . We came to Naples to meet my childhood friend and she joined us on the tour. After spending more time with us than the allotted hours, eating lunch with him and visiting his new Cloister Inn, Stefano offered to accompany my friend to the train station since she was traveling back to Salerno alone. Stefano accompanied my friend to the train station, made sure she got on the right train, and stood on the platform until she had safely departed! The BEST place to stay in Naples Italy! Stefano & Giuseppe are in the heart of beautiful Naples. It is close to everything! You could not ask for a better location.The accommodations are first class. The detail and design of the rooms are gorgeous and make you feel cozy and at home.. You really feel like you are staying with family when you are there. They are both very warm, charming and full of life & entertaining. They are very detailed and knowledgeable about everything in Italy. They helped me on where to go what to see and how to make the most of my stay. Stefano is Amazing, he took me on a tour of the Amalfi Coast and i can truly say it was one of the happiest days of my life. Even though he will give you the best tour, you feel like you are with a good friend instead of a tour guide. Stefano and Giuseppe are great hosts, this clean modern home is set right in the center of the historic & cultural heart of Naples, walking distance to everything you could need, historic tours, castles, under ground caves, museums and close to transport links for trips further afield like Pompeii, or our favorite a guided tour of the Amalfi coast with Stefano. Stefano showed us the best sights and spots to take photos as well as have lunch, his knowledge of the area and history was fantastic and made the day special. As well as the history, Cloister Inn is only a block from some very good bars and restaurants, you can choose from the best local cuisine to foreign as well, the bars range from quiet to busy night life ones but our favorite are the ones with a bohemian vibe like Oak bar. read more

Wow. Seriously...just wow. I don't give heavy praise lightly, but when I signed up to stay at a B&B, I didn't know my host would also be the best tour guide I've come across (and I've been on tours across the globe). Not only was the B&B itself great, but Stefano also took me on several incredible guided tours inside Naples itself, as well as the surrounding area (e.g. several places along the Amalfi Coast, Vesuvius, etc.). He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and funny...it genuinely felt like it was just a buddy showing me around his home town. I had the pleasure of meeting Stefano when he guided our tour group. If you are looking for a guide in Italy, Stefano is the greatest! Every day of our tour was filled with history, little anecdotes and lots of fun. Stefano is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of his country and his hometown of Naples. He has a terrific personality and makes every effort to accommodate your wishes. Stefano of the Cloister Inn is an excellent tour guide. He was born & raised in the Centro Storico of Napoli, so he knows the area inside & out and shares legends and stories of the area, along with the history. He's previously worked as a tour director on the Amalfi Coast, so he's very knowledgeable about that area, too. He gave me all sorts of tips & recommendations for outings I was doing on my own, too. As an added bonus, he knows all the best places for desserts. He has a great personality, too, and will make your time with him a true pleasure. read more

I have read o Stephano Bollo has opened his dream B&B Cloister Inn. We met Stephano when he was a travel director. Not only was he a expert on the history of the area but he also became a sincere friend to our group members. On the trip I had a medical emergency and Stefano accompanied us to the hospital and stayed with us interpreting the physician's orders. Hope top visit the Cloister Inn upon my recovery. If you have the chance to tour with Stephano you will not be disappointed. He is very charming, knowlegable and just fun to be around. There will never be a dull moment. The owner Stefano is amazing, he made us feel like home. Always explaining what to do and where to go. He was taking care of us all time.
