Clinton water is an outdated company that burdens its members. The office manager Kathy is awful, she will tell you whatever you want to hear to get off the phone with you and she is extremely rude. You actually have to bring them a LETTER to shut your water off, and if you don't they continue to charge you for service afterwards. This company is a small company that won't change because it's cheap. If you can, avoid getting your water from these people at all costs. MUB is better managed and you don't have to go back to 1920 for services like water shut off. Because their systems and ways of doing things are so outdated, for my last bill I was charged the balance a full month and 25 days after my water shut off, resulting in an overdraft. I have never had any problems with the people that work here as far as efficient or rudeness. The quality of the actual water is great! The water is usually very clear, rarely has any kind of chemical taste or smell. Also, in 5 years of having the service, we have only had a couple of small outages and they were repaired promptly. That being said, I give them only three stars because the billing is not great. Do not expect anything to be fast, or modern. The hours are inconvenient, they do not take payments on the phone and they only offer a prerecorded reminder if you missed a payment. read more

Terrible customer service. Called once about a bill I had paid and the woman who answered the phone was yelling at me. She said I had not paid it and once she found the check proving I did she was still very rude. Avoid if at all possible. read more
