Paid $55.00 to play on a Sunday morning in August. Carts are AWFUL! Carts are OLD! There'a a really nice course in my area that is A) an all around better course B) has new electric carts with GPS installed and C) cheaper! I could almost justify paying $55.00 if they offered the customer a nice cart that they'll be spending the next four plus hours in on a Saturday/Sunday morning/afternoon. No shields! No console to put accessories in. Hell, I thought all carts had USB charging ports in them nowadays. Not at Green Hills! When I made a comment about the amount I was being charged and how I felt about the condition of their golf carts they provide, I was told there are several courses in either direction to choose from. Gee..thanks! Many times, my group of friends I play with, will choose not to play there for that reason. If they don't care, why should we? This course isn't struggling..by any means. I found Swing Time Sports Center a few years ago while looking for driving ranges in Findlay. It's…read moreone of only two dedicated driving ranges in Findlay, the other being Shady Grove. Swing Time has three parts, the Driving range, the batting cages, and the Putt putt course. I believe the batting cages are the only ones in Findlay. I've never used them but they seem to be pretty popular in spring. The Putt putt course is very nice. It's challenging without being too hard for the little ones. Now for the driving range. I use the driving range most frequently by far. There are a few reasons why this range is superior to Shady Grove. The number one reason I come here is the price. It's $5 for 2 tokens and $10 for four. Two tokens will fill a large basket easy. What I normally do is come in on Monday, buy four tokens for $10 and use two while I'm there and come back on Wednesday and use the other two. The second biggest reason is that the range faces east. Shady faces west and in the spring and fall you can't see your ball at all as you are hitting directly into the sun after about 5:30 PM. I can't tell you how nice it is to not have to fight the sun those times of the year. Another big plus is that there is a bucket of water and a brush just behind the grass tees to clean your clubs after you've hit. They regularly move their ropes for the grass tees to keep them nice as well. Now I don't know why they do this but for the last two years the green mats in the "indoor" section have been stacked up in a corner and they will not let you hit off them, stating that they are closed. I also don't know how accurate the yardages are, it kind of depends on where you are on the tees. This range also has some interesting props, including a bell, a brightly painted car tipped up at a 45 degree angle, and an orange cone on top of a hill. Also I'm pretty sure this place is cash only. I'm not 100% sure but I've only ever paid in cash and have never seen anybody pay with a card, but then again I don't watch how everybody pays. Overall Swing Time is a great place for everyone! The Putt put course is very kid friendly and is also inviting if you're looking for a cheap date activity. The driving range and batting cages are also great for working on your game or just to blow off some steam. There are only a few minor drawbacks but nothing that would discourage me from recommending it.

It was cart path only but the cart paths are in awful condition. The roughs were 4" deep and almost impossible to hit out of. The sand traps were a joke with more rocks and stones than sand. Even the concession stand was overpriced with a hot dog costing $6.40. With as poor as the conditions were, it cost $72.00 on a Sunday. I would not play there again at half that price.

Instead of handing me my change she throws it on the counter. I didn't throw my money on the counter when I paid her and I expect to be handed my change. Maybe I expect too much. Tom the owner has done a great job turning this place around and making it truly one of the best courses in the area. For the money you wont find anywhere that can compete with this course. A few years ago I joined the Thursday night mens league just wanting to get out and golf regularly. The price was probably the biggest draw for me to join the league. League fees are $35 (one time payment) and it's $10 to walk each week, an additional $7 to ride and $3 for skins. Seriously, how do you pass this up on a course this nice!? All the guys in the league are very friendly and accepting to new players. The league scoring is run on handicaps to level the playing field. So it doesn't matter how good or... not good you are. You also don't need to worry about keeping track of your score, average, or handicap as it's all taken care of by the guys who run the league. My son and I played Stone Ridge a couple days ago, and found the experience very head scratching…read more Here's how I rated my experience. The fairways are very nice, and the greens roll the ball very well. The down side was the greens were very hard and because they were small, we had trouble on approach shots. The course has to many sand traps, and the sand was hard as a rock so you couldn't get out of them as you do with proper sand. I didn't like that nearly every hole had numerous sand traps on them, so if you didn't hit a perfect shot you were in a trap. The course needs a Ranger. Play was very slow, particularly the last 3 holes where a party of 7 drunk players were playing/partying together. That's right, a sevensome! So, I rate the Stone Ridge Golf Course a 3. The price to play gets a 5, the fairways get a 5, the greens get a 3, the traps get a 0, the lack of a Ranger nets a 0, and the experience gets a 0 because of the drunken sevensome. Will I play Stone Ridge again? No, there are to many nicer places to play.
