I had called at least 3 times prior to this appointment to confirm the date and time and was told everything was OK. I was not happy to find out the day before of the appointment that it was rescheduled to end of July and he would be seeing the PA. I was not happy since I had driven 5 hrs, visit was with the PA and had a hotel booked for a few days. I asked to reschedule for another day when we could see the Specialists and was told that he was not seeing any more patients. I cannot give a review about the doctor since we did not see him but I did read 2 reviews recently that was not favorable. The office staff needs some direction and better skills in communicating. I would think twice about this place.

I then began to call specialists to see if they could help me and take me as a walk in. Everyone refused. Luckily I was able to speak to a receptionist at their office in harlingen which then referred me to the Brownsville office! Dr. Austin was amazing I'm so thankful that they were able to help me! They did not even think twice when I explained my situation. I was in and out of their office in under 30min. Dr. Austin and all the nurses were very friendly and comforting. They always get me in and out so fast! The office is clean, I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Every single person I've interacted with is extremely friendly and professional. Especially Jackie! She's so smiley and upbeat, and just a pleasure to talk to. And the two employees at the front desk are so polite and smiley as well. I love it here.

They'll Waste Your Time AND Bill You for It…read more Truly an unforgettable (and not in a good way) experience. 1 Star (would give 0 if I could) Scheduled surgery, took time off work, showed up--only to be told insurance "wasn't approved." No call, no text, nothing. Two weeks later they say it was approved, but no one bothered to tell me. Then they claim I didn't show up. Unreal. They wanted me to come in again (so they could bill insurance twice), then "graciously" waived my copay after I called them out. Finally get rescheduled, confirm everything... and 45 minutes before surgery, they call again saying insurance is still "pending." Office looks and feels like it hasn't been updated since the 2000's -outdated, unorganized, and unprofessional. Save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else.

You should have gotten this from AA, but unfortunately AA today is watered down. Groups focus on the problem not the solution. So they get told they "need more pain" and sure enough they find it ... right before they die. Of course, you can't receive an adequate presentation of the program until your body and mind have been cleared. Their medical, psychiatric, and psychological care are unrivaled. Onsite nursing staff available 24/7 monitor those in detox and provide support for all patients throughout their stay. Also, licensed nurses dispense all meds and monitor adherence. None of the above would be possible without the beautiful facilities, amazing onsite catering, and daily housekeeping. Can you get sober in a roach motel, making your own meals, mopping your own floor? Sure. However, removing distractions and barriers gives you the luxury of focusing on what you came here for: learning to stay sober.
