History

Established in 1981.

Dr Nichols began his practice in Albertville in 1981. He was joined by the husband and wife doctors Rich and Kate McCurdy in 2005. Shortly after thet moved to their present location on Martling Road. This large comfortable building contains modern diagnostic equipment and a spacious well stocked optical. Plenty of off street parking is available.

All graduates of UAB School of Optometry, your doctors have over 45 years of cumulative experience in all kinds of eye care. Pediatrics, disease management, contact lenses,emergencies, and surgical eye care all make up a typical day at our clinic. Dr Nichols is an empty nest father with 6 children. On off days look for he and his wife on a trail, in a canoe, in a stream or a duck blind. Doctors McCurdy have two preschool boys. Busy is an understatement, but golf and running are passions.
