Because I wasn't familiar with the brands, I got the assistance of a young lady who worked in the Medicine Dept. She asked thorough questions to make sure she recommended the right one. Although I went for the Pharmacy this store was quite large. There were cards, snacks, sandwiches and drinks. There also was a large assortment of beauty, hygiene and toiletry products. Probably even more departments in the back that I didn't see.

She looked at me rudely straight in the face and blanked me completely and didnt bother to give me an answer. She just turned around to her colleague and pretended that she was speaking about someone else in front of me to her colleague. I am a person from a minority ethnic background and I just know the motive was pure racism. I didn't bother saying anything more because did not want to cause any DRAMA. I just turned around and walked away, this ruined my mood and shopping experience in Boots.

I often pick up any prescriptions from this store and have found the pharmacist helpful (she will ring her wholesaler to check when stocks are in if they are out) ive noticed they also do a range of pet medicine like flea treatments and worming tablets - I plan to compare the prices for these with what I usually pay at the vets next time these are required. Parking can be difficult as it is in a popular range of local shops but very handy if you live locally.

Other services include; pregnancy testing (£5.00) and a weighing in station for thos of us who want to get an accurate reading of their weight each week, whilst dieting away the pounds, (or should I say Kg's?) Although this chemist is not a large outlet it still manages to carry a fair amount of stock. All of the essentials are well covered and there's a good range of toiletries and cosmetics too. The pharmacists are really helpful if you are feeling under the weather and are unsure what to buy to ease your symptoms. There's a sign in the window stating that all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult before entering the shop. Presumably they have had some problems with shoplifting in the past...? It's little reminders like these that never let you forget that you are in Splott, despite the fact that most days go by without any trouble at all.

Well, I'd have nothing to review if I always went to the same place! Anyway, as pharmacies go (and let me tell you, they're all very similar!) this one does have a little bit of an edge for two main reasons. Number 1 - the service is vcery fast. I always wondered why it took so long to take a piece of paper, go back behind a screen and find the matching drugs. I still don't know. I assume that they have to fill in some kind of paperwork? Well, this pharmacy seems to cut through that documentation like superman. I appreciate the hurry. Number 2 - I like the Co-op. It's a good business, with good morals, good ethics and a good level of customer service.

The City Road Co-operative Pharmacy is quite small compared to their larger sites, and so they are limited as to what they can stock. Nevertheless, the carry a good range of products on the shop floor, and the pharmacy itself still manages to carry a full range of prescription drugs. They always have some great special offers on non-prescription drugs and toiletries too. I really enjoy the level of service that you get in a Co-operative Pharmacy. The staff are always really well trained and are consequently eminently knowledgeable about their product range. They can usually advise on local clinics, organisations and associations where appropriate. The pharmacists tend to be equally helpful.

They stock everything that you could want to - hair care, nail care, girl care, make up - with all of the offers from the larger stores. However, the good thing is that it is quite often quiet so you never get jostled around as you're trying to shop. When I went in I found everything to be where I expected it to be, at prices that I was really happy with. I was also happy about the fact that I was able to walk home in about 3 minutes, as would anyone who lives in Cathays.

First of all it's probably the cheapest lunch you can get in Cardiff hands down. for £2.99 you can get a roll/sandwich/wrap etc with a bag of crisps or desert etc and any drink in store. Some of the drinks alone are near £2 themselves so you really are getting a bargain. And the food is good quality in all honesty, I had a lovely little chicken wrap and breadsticks with a humous dip.

This is not the main Boots in Cardiff, its a secondly shop in the Capitol Centre thats actually…read morereally small. It still seems to have everything I ever need, its just doesn't involve spending 20 minutes looking for it. It also has a good selection of food and drinks which is handy for all the surrounding offices or if you just fancy a quick drink to help you out. The staff seem here also seem to have more time for you and are extra helpful.
