Cliffy Care Landscaping was a joy to work with. We found them through a neighbor's referral. We worked with Ian, the owner, for the initial consultation for a small project of expanding an existing landscape bed using boxwoods and gold mounding arborvitaes and top dressing mulch. Pat, a foreman, delivered materials the day before the install. Installers Carlos and Colton began the project right on time the following morning. Unfortunately, after about a couple hours, a storm rolled in so for safety reasons, work had to cease. This was the Friday before the Memorial Day holiday, but come that next drizzly (again!) Tuesday morning, Carlos and Colton were back on site and worked very hard to plant the shrubs, spacing them according to our plan and they then created a raised flower bed in which I could do my own planting. I appreciated how they made my vision come to life and how diligently they worked to complete the project, despite the weather. As with many home projects, you sometimes hit a snag or two, but I must give Ian and his team a lot of credit for doing what it took to ensure we got the results that made us happy. I had a water main break in my front yard that required the majority of the yard to be dug up to discover very large rocks/boulders in my yard. Since it was now going to require dirt to be brought in, I just decided that it was better to call in the experts. I am a "researcher" that gets all detail before making decisions as well as multiple estimates. After reviewing comments for various landscaping companies, I called Cliffy Care. Ian contacted me the very next day and came right out to give me an estimate. The communication was phenomenal from the very beginning. They worked on my yard even when the weather wasn't ideal. There were a few minor misunderstandings that they corrected immediately without hesitation or question. I am so happy with the final result and have received many compliments on my yard/landscaping. Working with Ian and his crew was stellar. He visited my home within 24 hours of my inquiry and provided an estimate within an hour of the appointment. Ian was responsive and patient with my numerous questions and modifications to the original plan. Even when rain was predicted on my scheduled day, Ian said they will still come out and do the work unless it is impossible. Unfortunately what was supposed to be a light rain shower turned into a full-blown all day thunderstorm and it was impossible. Cliffy Care did some landscaping to help with drainage around our house. This included digging a trench with a couple of catch basins, as well as the more laborious task of removing our patio and regrading around it. I worked with Ian to also get a new stamped concrete patio put in to replace the old one. Although there were delays on the concrete due to supply chain issues, Ian kept in great contact through the entire process and stuck with it to ensure that the job was done correctly. We called Cliffy Care Landscaping for a small mulch job. Wasn't sure how it would go due to past experiences with other companies. Boy, these guys are good. They kept us up to date on the schedule, and showed up on time. The men were courteous and professional and maintained the social distancing we all need right now. The ground was soft due to heavy rain. In fact, I had standing water in one area. They hand carried all the materials so as not to damage the yard. It looks great!! I have been using them for years. Five years ago they built me a beautiful water Lilly pond (it has given such joy!). I don't know what I would do without them when it comes fall time ( I have a ton of leaves!). When I loose large tree limbs from storms, they are always there for me!
