However, I can't recommend based on the overall experience. The workmanship was average, and more concerning, the final bill came in roughly 40% higher than originally quoted on what was a straightforward job with only a minor modification. There was also confusion around the original quote. I had specifically requested a GFCI outlet, but when he arrived, he indicated the quote only covered a GFCI and not the outlet itself, attributing the discrepancy to how it was entered through Yelp. Regardless of the source, that added to the overall lack of clarity on pricing. For context, the initial quote was already higher than other licensed electricians I had considered. In short: the job got done, but the combination of pricing inconsistency, unclear scope, and average workmanship makes it hard to recommend.

I am so happy we used Mckenzie Electric! They were right on time, professional and reasonable for…read morethe problem we were having (my kitchen outlets all went out at the same time.) They found a pretty crucial problem that could've burnt down our house and for that, we are so grateful! We plan on remodeling our entire home in the future and absolutely will be using Mckenzie Electric for this. We are pretty loyal to great service providers when we find them and am so happy to say we found one! As a side note: We had called another electrician before them that didn't show up when they said they would, didn't call to say they were going to be a no show, and didn't even respond back to a call we placed 2 hours after they missed their original appointment. I'm telling you this because there is a night and day difference in professionalism in the service industry and Mckenzie Electric hit the nail on the head with high quality service, honesty and reasonable prices. You won't regret giving them a call if you need an electrician. :)

This review is strictly for the professionalism they seem to lack in their scheduling. In terms of…read morequality of their workmanship, I couldn't say, so take that for what its worth. We called them on a Wednesday to come fix our kitchen outlets and set up an appointment for Friday at 2 pm. I spoke to Tyler. He was very professional over the phone, took down my name and number, set up the appointment and said he would be here with James (who he said was the owner). Perfect. Let me preface this with saying, based on their reviews, I was excited to meet them and see their workmanship because we just moved to the area and were looking for an electrician we could use moving forward for some bigger projects. Friday at 2 pm came and went. No call. No show. My husband is in the service industry, so I can understand how sometimes things come up and time gets away from you. However, when 4 pm came around, and nobody came or called, I made a call to see if they were still planning on showing up. Not only did I get sent to voicemail, I didn't receive a call back after leaving a message. To this day, still never heard back from them. We are really easy to work with and if they couldn't have made it, we would have totally understood but a phone call or text message at the very least would have been much appreciated. I planned my entire day around their schedule, cleaning off all my countertops so nothing was in their way, and did what I could in terms of making sure my infant had her naps earlier so she wasn't crying up a storm while they were here. Needless to say, if this is the way they conduct business, I'm happy we found someone else. I normally don't leave bad reviews but I had completely planned my entire day around them so it just irks me that they couldn't have even given the courtesy of a heads up.
