We've recently moved to Columbus, Ohio from New Jersey. And we rented a property via this company…read more It's been three months so far and we are very pleasant with our choice. There were some fixes needed during our stay. The management and maintenance team responded to our requests in a very timely manner. For example, There were two ceiling fans that makes weird squeaking noises in the house. After we reported the issue they immediately contacted the property owner and brought two brand new fans for installation. No hassle, no extra charge, no back and forth arguments. We are very glad that we chose this company instead of renting from a private landlord. I think they are very professional and have a high quality of customer service.

The landlord is very friendly, so I initially thought that he would be a great communicator,…read morethereby making the living situation pleasant. However, I feel quite betrayed. The house was advertised to be noise-proof but I can hear the neighbor's conversations. Not to mention the sounds of their dog walking around the house. It's not the neighbor's fault-- they are just living their lives. But wow, I have lived under at least 5 different housing management teams before and it has never been this bad. Maintenance requests do not get done until couple months later, and even if they come over to fix the said problem, I can't tell that it was properly fixed. I honestly can not WAIT until I can move out of this house. EDIT: Bijan (the landlord) and I had a conversation. We came to the consensus that there was quite a bit of miscommunication on both sides of the party. Bijan definitely cares about the tenants' well-being. Once a distinct & straight-forward maintenance system is placed, I have no problems with this management company.

So it's been a few months. We finally got out of that awful apartment. I'm responding now because I…read moredidn't want to cause further issues while we still were residing there. So I will address the issues one by one as well. 1. Your maintenance workers came in unannounced on multiple occasions. Don't try to lie. We caught it on our security cameras we had set up just for these sorts of instances. 2. You may have put signs up, but you made no active effort to inform your tenants of the issue. An email could have been sent very easily. I wasted money trying to start my laundry and some of my clothing items were ruined Because I had no way to wash them. And before you say you had other laundry facilities available I will address it. I didn't have my vehicle at the time and it was freezing and your closest facility wasn't very close for a young woman to walk alone to at night in the freezing cold in such a sketchy neighborhood. 3. Your maintenance workers may not know our financial status or how we pay for our living arrangements (mine being paid upfront. NOT by financial aid) but they were still very rude to us and never had a very good attitude. And the people you had cleaning our stairwell never cleaned. I witnessed their "cleaning". They opened the door, sprayed some febreze and walked out. And I'm not the only tenant who thought poorly of your maintenance crew. I went to school with most of them and people like to talk. 4. The area I am referring to with the ice was a common area used by all. Not just me. I think paying you $1895 per semester should be enough to use whatever entrance I please. I was using said entrance to get to the laundry facilities that were out of order. Also, my roommate does not appreciate that his financial hardships were broadcasted on the internet for all to see. I made this post. Not him. I paid my rent on time. I never asked for any sort of extension. So really you called out the wrong person. So anyway, if you're reading this and you're thinking about renting from these con artist scumbags, think again and go as far away as you possibly can. Another thing I need to complain about is the fact that animal feces was placed on my back doorstep by someone. Which I assume was maintenance seeing as everyone else had left for the summer. Yes I have a dog. Does he poop on the porch? No. Never. There were several cats that hung around back there and would always poop. We tried to keep up with it because it was gross to look at. But that doesn't give anyone the right to place feces by my door. Also, it was stated in my move out forms that there was a rotten pumpkin left behind. Well, that was our old roommate's pumpkin she left from Halloween. Not my problem. Did she get charged? Probably not. They charged us $504 to stay an extra two weeks because our new apartment was still occupied. What business people! They're out to take advantage of young people getting their first apartments. They charged $3790 for two semesters. And then we paid the extra to stay longer. So we paid about $800 a month to live in a trashy apartment. That's not including utilities. Which are outrageous because nothing is insulated well and the windows are very outdated. Also, a furnace issue was reported. Maintenance came to take a look. Didn't even open the door to where the furnace was. His worlds not mine. "It's Ohio, heaters just don't work here." So he told me heat doesn't work? Then why's it called a heater? He just didn't want to look at it. Also, our air filters were not replaced once. They were supposed to be replaced during Christmas break and spring break. I sat at home all day on the days the maintenance crew were supposed to come and they never showed up. So it wasn't taken care of. Overall, we dealt with the most pathetic excuse of a business. They locked us out before we had the chance to get all our stuff. They did unlock the doors later but we could've been done sooner had they not been so spiteful. They are awful business people and I would 10 out of 10 not recommend.
