I was then asked to sit for a short while and not long after, I was called in to start my first exam. Then I was seen by Dr. Hernandez who was very patient and addressed all my concerns. She really made me feel comfortable and understood. After she was done, I was guided to Adriana who helped me with picking my lenses. She was so kind and patient and really made me feel seen. We went Clear Choice Optometry simply based on Yelp and the reviews. And we did not go wrong! Dr.Hirano is friendly and caring. He took the time to explain my glaucoma issue and gave me a referral. This was already brought up to me when I went to another optometrist last year, but because that person did not explain the urgency of the situation I did not go to get it checked. So it was so important that he explained to me what glaucoma is and what can happen if I didn't get it checked out! The staff in the clinic were also very nice and helpful. Despite the crowd that appeared to arrive just as wedid, the front desk staff was attentive, friendly and welcoming. I think we waited a whole 13 seconds for an acknowledgment and maybe 2 minutes to be escorted to the exam. Tech was efficient, thorough for sure. Doctor arrived in less than two minutes and began the main exam. Professional and thorough while taking care to ensure my roomie understood the process. All her questions answered...at no time did we feel rushed, in fact at every step of the exam it was like we were family and been there 100 times (and this was our first visit). Very professional office. I expected to have to wait quite a bit as is typical with most medical offices. Not only did they have my forms pre-filled out for me, but I really didn't have to wait at all to be seen by the doctor. I was out in no time. I have gone to Clear Choice Optometry twice for my year exams. The staff is always helpful and they have a pretty good selection of glasses. The doctor has always been friendly as well. Laura spent time with me and helped me choose the right glasses and went over all of the selections that were available to be added on. All of the glasses I tried on were put in to a plastic bin to be cleaned and this was before the pandemic. When my glasses came in I got an email and a text saying they were ready. My next appointment is coming up soon and with the pandemic I'm sure there will be some changes. I've heard that you must wait in your car before your appointment. This sounds like a completely reasonable move to keep everyone safe and healthy. I have always received outstanding customer service by the doctor and Laura and Christine. I usually have my appointments on the same day of the week so it's always nice seeing the same friendly faces. read more

I've known Dr. Paul as I affectionately​ call him, for 3 years and knew him as a very classy man with a ready smile at all times, but I never knew he was an Optometrist. About 6 months ago I noticed that not only did I need reading glasses, but I noticed that my vision was blurry at a distance. To be honest I was a little concerned, about blood sugar issues or something more serious as the cause. I kept saying to myself that I need to get my eyes checked and when I finally mentioned it to a friend, they said, why don't you go see Dr. Paul. I was flabbergasted that I didn't know this about him. From the time I called his office his staff was friendly, professional and extremely sharp. When I finally got to his office, my exam included sitting in front of 4 high tech pieces of equipment (all painless-smile), that took pictures of of the inside of my eyeballs. I didn't even know that was possible...Crazy! The professionalism, kindness, and accuracy was amazing. One of the biggest things was how much time Dr. Paul took with me to make sure I understood what was going on with my eyes and how to correct it. He then mentioned on another occasion after giving me my prescription​ for glasses that I might be eligible to wear contacts. He said he had been thinking about my situation knowing that I'm extremely active, I practice Gracie Jiu-Jitsu 5 days a week (I was amazed that he was thinking about my situation seeing as to how busy they are in their practice). I went in for the fitting, he sat with me to make sure I knew exactly how to put them on my eyes, take them out and keep them clean. It was a little nerve-wracking​​, but he allayed my fears and concerns (these are the only eyes I have and want to keep them-smile). I couldn't recommend more going yourself and if you have family and friends, taking them to Clear Choice Optometry, they'll take excellent care of you. I changed eye doctors and came here for the first time yesterday. As soon as I walked in, the front desk homegirls were super nice and welcoming, hella busy too. Once they took me back, they had a new machine that scans your eyes. Super trippy! No air-eye-blowing, which was tight. Then I went into a private room where Shelly came in super quickly and was SO friendly. I couldn't believe how nice she was, being that we all live in LA. She was the most thorough doctor I've ever had. And I've been wearing glasses and seeing different doctors in different states for 15 years. She was very honest and patient, and I can't say enough good things about her. Then I picked out some new, super fly frames, and walked out with my trial contacts. The chick who helped me pick out my glasses was shy and cute. She got it all together for me and made it easy. The other chick who were taking care of the desk was still busy and was a little short with her co-worker, but I work customer service so I wasn't tripping. Also! Everyone was wearing white coats. Excellent service and friendly staff! I did not get my eye exam from them (though I should have considering all these great reviews!), so my review is only for the actual glasses. They have a wide selection of glasses that can fit any frame. I found a scratch on the rim of the first set they gave me (it was the display) and they were nice enough exchange it with a new set of glasses! Christine is awesome, she is super helpful and definitely wants to make sure you are satisfied with the fit/frame of your glasses! Ps.
