Even doing a great job with cleanup! HOWEVER!!! We wanted a section of our front yard to be set up ( ground prepared , small plants put in .. install a weed preventer ... he gave me a quote for $2,000 ... The area was meant to be a small Memorial garden to honor my daughter and brother who had recently died . Justin arrived on time with his crew and a machine to turn the soil. I was so happy to get this done as I was grieving for my family members and thought the little garden would help a bit. They worked exactly 2 and a half hours and he even hired my neighbor to work with him! I was so pleased . Then he had to leave to finish up another job but promised to continue my job the next day. I happily gave him the entire $2,000 in cash And he paid my hardworking neighbor $50 in cash ( 2 and 1/2 hours at $20 per hour) . She will be happy to verify this plus other people who were there. THAT AFTERNOON as he was completing another job he was hurt in a serious accident caused by one of his big machines. His very nice father called me from the hospital saying that HE would come out to complete our job. We trusted Justin so I told his father that we would wait until he was healed . Later I sent several get well cards and he called to say his injured leg had some problem healing . OK. WE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN! Over the past two plus years many people called him on my behalf. He denied receiving the $2,000 and claimed he had only worked at our home about an hour . He refused to admit that he owes us that amount. Out of the $2,000 he did pay my neighbor $50 in cash . She was very pleased as he paid her exactly what she earned . We have called and written him so many times only to go unanswered or he claims he only owes us $1,000. I am shocked at his behaviour because we REALLY liked him and his work . He claims everything differently and denies he owes us anything . One time he said he wasn't at our home that long but the cash he paid our neighbor confirms the 2 /12 hours . We never saw or heard from him again . He has not refunded a penny . Since then my husband almost died from congestive heart failure . We both have diabetes , and I have MS, lupus , heart failure , and many surgeries for serious health problems so we can not do this job ourselves . I am 78 years old . Because of these health problems we cannot afford to pay another tree service to do it. I already paid Justin $2,000 CASH to do what I knew WOULD BE an excellent job IF he ever came back to DO it.

I had two dying oak trees that Dennis, as a certified arborist, evaluated and gave us not only a verbal report of what was going on with them, he provided us with a written report. He's as knowledgeable as he is professional and in every step of the process of deciding to remove the trees, I was confident in his knowledge and ability to do so. His wife, Michelle, manages the office and their son, Austin, works with and manages the team that does the work. Caleb, the main cutter, and the other men work in tandem with one another, and the energy between them was fantastic. And the equipment -- talk about impressive trucks and lifts to ensure a job is done correctly and safely. We should have told them we would get a second estimate instead of agreeing to their outrageous price. They show up ready to do the work when you only ask for an estimate. We should have just said no thank you. Unable to find a license on the State website that they claim to have, which means they also probably don't have the appropriate insurance! Buyer beware!

Our Live Oak Tree is Happy…read more Derek the owner of Sandefurs Home & Tree Maintenance with his team completed a complicated and risky tree trimming service without a single issue. Derek and his team were professional from start to finish. When they talked it was job related, which is a rare trait these days. Only the saws made noise. Each guy trimmed various sections of the tree and each removed the debris as they went forward so to prevent hindering the process and or cause injury. Another rare trait was, Derek described the plan-of-action to remove the problem limbs and branches that were precariously located above the house prior to quoting the job. Months prior to contacting Derek; The County Arborist came over after I told them what I planned to have done to the tree. While he examined the tree, he said the Live Oak was at least 250 years old and was a protected tree. The tree is over fifty feet tall. Not only was my wife and I pleased with the Sandefur's service. Our neighbor came over and complimented Derek on his tree trimming services. After all the dozens of home-service providers I've hired over the decades.
