Edit of review on 11/21- Quenita Todd, the Patient Relations Manager who replied to my review took my call and made sure my results were read that day. She was apologetic and very helful in getting things resolved. Based on my experience with her I would give them another chance. She made sure to follow up several times as well. Thank you Quenita!

A call to their third party billing company in Indianapolis Indiana revealed their billing department had no record of me, my MRI, and no claim filed nor bill generated. They emailed a bill for $1470.00 one day later, after business hours on a Friday night. A call to their billing office the following Monday resulted in their telling me they filed a claim with my insurance company the date of the MRI a month earlier. This was untrue and verified by BCBS customer service. I called their local Raleigh NC office number and asked to speak with the practice manager. They disconnected the call. I have filed an official complaint with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. I have filed a complaint of the Raleigh Radiology website. I have filed a complaint with the Chamber of Commerce website for their Clayton, NC site. I have no problem with scheduling, completing the MRI and timely results. It is terrible that their billing practices are so poor and unprofessional. I do not recommend Raleigh Radiology. Their customer service response is equally unprofessional. There is no way to reach a Raleigh based person in charge of this practice.

I wanted to share my unpleasant experience with this office this morning. I had an amazing…read morechiropractor back in Seattle whom I often referred to as a "magician". The man is truly a gifted healer. He is also the one who warned me about chiropractors that require xrays for routine maintenance care. He explained that an experienced and well trained chiropractor is confident in his/her ability to treat patients without the use of unnecessary xrays. Having moved from Seattle, I asked around for chiropractor recommendations in the area and a friend told me about connected Chiropractic. I phoned them and asked specifically if they require xrays for new patients, the receptionist said they do not. I was told it's going to be a 1 hour orientation, even for moms with young toddlers. We arrived at the appointment this morning and once we were seated in the room one of the front desk employees brought some forms for me to sign. I told her that I will not be receiving any xrays today and will that still be okay, she tried to persuade me to change my mind. I firmly told her that I will not be doing any xrays and asked her if this was a requirement to be seen by the chiropractor. She said that the chiropractor will still see me. When the chiropractor finally came in, she proceeding to ask the basic questions about my health and past chiropractic care. I told her my X-ray concerns due to my health and how my doctor advises against unnecessary xrays and how my chiropractor back in Seattle did not recommend xrays for routine care, unless there was a recent accident and/or injury. I even brought up the fact that the founder of chiropractic care (whom they tell you about during the orientation) did not perform xrays, neither did the earlier practitioners. After a debate with the chiropractor, she told me that they will not see patients without initial xrays. I was frustrated at having wasted my morning and mislead about the new patient process by the office staff. So a word of caution to anyone who, like me, is trying to find an honest chiropractor who does not pressure patients into unnecessary medical procedures. Also, if you are trying to conceive or are pregnant, it's best to avoid this office, as they do not make exceptions, according to the chiropractor. This is such a disappointment as I heard great things about this practice and was excited about getting established with a local practice. Following the appointment, I contacted another local chiropractor and spoke to the chiropractor directly to find out that he does not recommend new patient xrays, unless there was a recent injury. There are other great chiropractors in the area who will not pressure patients into unnecessary procedures and treatments and please be weary of Connected Chiropractic.

The staff is awesome and works with you to make your procedure as comfortable and efficient as possible. Be sure to come at least a half hour early to fill out your forms (you can also do this online before your appointment). Then your tech will take you to your dressing room to change (if necessary) and give you a locker and key for your stuff. They'll position you as confortably as possible for your scan, clearly explain everything that will happen, and give you a set of headphones so you can relax to your favorite musical genre as well as drown out the machinery noise. They've got every type of music, from Bach to Rock. This is an especially nice accommodation if you're in pain, nervous or claustrophobic. My injury is to my spine and is extremely painful. Their wonderful pillow is so comfortable that I asked them about buying one! It can be chilly in the room, so you may wish to wear a something warm or bring a blankie with you. (They supplied me with one at my first visit too). They'll do their best to spare you discomfort if you're in pain. Mine is chronic and I can't thank them enough for going this extra mile for me. The waiting room is cheerful, comfortable and equipped with wi-fi and a coffee machine while you or companions await your scan. You'll leave with a CD of your images and they'll forward all your reports to your doc. They'll also email it to if you provide your email addy on your forms. I've had scans at other sites in the Triangle, and got good care at all of them, but the staff here is exceptional and won't make you feel like you're just another body on the conveyer belt of medical procedures. A friend who is extremely claustrophobic prefers to come here because the staff is so patient; he was treated like a nuisance, complete with rolling eyes and heaving sighs, despite explaining that he's a combat vet with severe PTSD, by another local provider. This site is conveniently located on Highway 42 in Clayton, in the health care "shopping center" beside the new hospital. There's lots of available parking and it's easy to find. If you live in Goldsboro, Garner, Clayton or Smithfield it's a fast trip to and from on Hwy 70. If your health care provider is responsive and gives you a choice, request to come here. You'll be very glad you did. To this fabulous staff: A great big thank you!

During the visit, the provider, Kellie Cochran, NP, introduced herself as "Dr. Kelly." I later learned from my paperwork that she is a nurse practitioner. I don't mind seeing an NP, but patients should be clearly told who they are seeing so that we can make informed decisions. Even though my symptoms had been going on for over two weeks, I was not given a stool test kit and was not offered a treatment plan. Instead, I was referred to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy, which was not the reason I came to urgent care. I was also told to follow up with primary care, but my new patient appointment is not until March 12. I left without testing, medication, or any real guidance on how to address what I came in for. If you need diagnostic testing done, I would recommend going somewhere else!

I called back eight days later because I was running out of the prescription and I was still having the pain and the problems related to shingles. I was told I could not get a refill because they normally don't issue refills which I don't understand if they are an urgent care clinic. I was told that I would have to come in and see another technician. I am Wheelchair bound and do not have access to transport. I would have to get Visiting Angels at a very high cost because the minimum is four hours of their time. I was further told that they could not ask the technician Lori Gigey because she was not in the office today. I asked when she would be back and was told that the person I was talking to on the telephone did not have access to the schedule yet she was in the same clinic in which I saw the technician. I was then handed it off to Ernst who was rude and refused to give me the name of the lady I was talking to and told me somebody would call me back. I would not recommend this facility to anybody that has anything more than a sore throat. Look at the reviews, the majority of them give them one star out of five
