Got a nose piercing. The gem they used was 1.5mm on a 18 (~1.2mm) gauge corkscrew bar leaving…read morealmost no room for the gem to sit properly. They didn't consider my anatomy at all, my nose is on the bigger side and the corkscrew bar was small only leaving a little bit of room without swelling. My nose swelled a little bit as expected, but there wasn't any more wiggle room for the bar. This caused the jewel to PULL THROUGH MY NOSE. In hindsight, this should have been a really obvious mistake they had made day of, but I assumed they'd do their due diligence and trusted their abilities. The jewelery they used was not 100% titanium, which caused my skin to react and pull away from the stud letting it sink more. This wasn't exactly their fault because that particular thing was mentioned in the waiver. I did not feel comfortable with going back to 'fix' the problem because I did not trust that they'd help in a safe manner from the experience they already gave me, so decided to go to another shop to get some help. I had chosen this other shop because this shop is owned by a nurse, which I had felt it added a very confident amount of credibility. They looked at it for 2 seconds and immediately seen the problem, and removed the piercing for free. LOTS OF BLOOD They offered to pierce it again for free because they we're very disappointed with what Expert Body Mods had done. I let it heal for 2 weeks, got it pierced again and all is well now. While my nose healed up, I reached out to Expert Body Mods to let them know what happened, they told me they we're sorry that I didn't come and see them, which I found to be lazy and condescending. This attitude was consistent with my in shop experience while I got it pierced at Expert Body Mods I am extremely disappointed with how this all went. I do not recommend this place.
